Ryanair passenger horrified by vile, ‘cheesy’ odor on flight — and the source was even worse: ‘The smell kept getting worse’

It was a disa-brie-able stench.

A Ryanair passenger was subjected to the ultimate pedi-crime after a fellow flyer stuck his “cheesy” smelling feet underneath her seat, as seen in appalling photos.

“It smelt unclean, like cheese,” Sophie Brame told Kennedy News of the podiatric infraction, which occurred Aug. 19 while she was flying from Manchester, UK, to Fuerteventura in Spain’s Canary Islands.

The trip was going swimmingly until about an hour in, when the 27-year-old noticed a foul odor.

“I could smell something, and the smell kept getting worse,” recalled the Manchester resident. “I knew it wasn’t me because I didn’t have my shoes off, and my feet don’t smell like that.”

She added, “The girl next to me clocked it at some point as well, and we were, like, ‘Where is it coming from?’ “

That’s when the Brit looked under her seat and found the source of the stench — a man’s socked feet poking through the footwell under her seat.

“I looked under my chair and I could see his feet on my part of the chair,” Brame recounted. “When the smell was strongest was when his feet were on my part of the chair [poking through the footwell].”

The offensive smell would reportedly dissipate when the air barbarian retracted his tootsies.

Brame analogized the scent to “cheese” or when someone’s sweating at the gym. “I don’t really know how to explain it — just like when someone has got dirty feet, like a cheesy smell,” she said.

She even surmised that the offender protruded his odorous trotters into her space so he wouldn’t have to smell them himself.

Despite the man’s grubby space invasion, the traveler said she felt too “awkward” to turn around and confront the toe-rrorist about his cheesy feet.

Instead, Brame said she resorted to “standing on his feet to get him to move his feet back.”

Thankfully, her game of in-flight footsie worked, but only for a moment.

The man reportedly moved his funky feet back, only to extend them into her space a half-hour later, forcing her to stand on them again.

“It made parts of it [the flight] uncomfortable, and it was just annoying,” Brame lamented. “If they were constantly under my seat and it was a continuous smell the whole flight, then it would have ruined it.”

While the flyer acknowledged that she’d removed her shoes on long-haul flights, she declared that people should at least ensure that “they’re clean” before doing so.

Viewers sympathized with her malodorous mid-flight plight.

“That is gross! People are so unaware sometimes,” declared one, while another wrote, “Sorry, but that should be a criminal offense.”

Unfortunately, flying has been a nightmare at 30,000 feet of late.

In July, a mom was ripped online after failing to confront a barefoot bonehead who had extended her crusty kickers into her daughter’s seating area.
