Romeo Beckham’s recent social media activity has fans wondering whether he’s secretly at odds with his older brother, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.
David Beckham shared a family photo from his 50th birthday party on Monday, March 31, where Brooklyn, 26, appeared to be absent.
“So I thought I’d start celebrating slightly early, such a special night in Miami,” David, 49, captioned his Instagram tribute. “So lucky to have amazing friends and family to start the 50th celebrations with. Love you.”
In David’s portrait, he was joined by wife Victoria Beckham and their youngest three children: Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13. Romeo and Cruz were each joined by their respective girlfriends, Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel. Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, were not seen in the birthday pics.
None of the Beckhams have addressed Brooklyn and Nicola’s reported absence. (Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, are based in Los Angeles, while Miami is the U.S. home base for their relatives.)
“What a way to begin the first of many birthday celebrations for @davidbeckham, surrounded by friends and family,” Victoria, 50, captioned her own party recap on Monday. “Kisses from Miami! 🇺🇸.”
Romeo, meanwhile, shared the same images on his Instagram later that day with the emojis “🫂🤍” as a caption. He also uploaded the shots onto his Stories, writing, “Family is everything. Love you all.”
It is not known whether Romeo’s post was meant as a dig at Brooklyn. Neither sibling has publicly addressed the speculation, though TMZ reported on Thursday, April 3, that the twosome are not on speaking terms. Us Weekly has reached out to reps for both Romeo and Brooklyn for comment.
Brooklyn has previously been candid about growing up as the eldest of four siblings.
“It was nice to grow up with siblings so close to my age, we are very close,” the aspiring chef told Hong Kong Vogue in 2022. “Harper is the loudest, Cruz is the funniest and Romeo is the most energetic.”
Brooklyn also revealed at the time how the kids bond with parents David and Victoria.
“I love cooking and watching football with my dad,” he said. “My mum has always had a house of boys until Harper, I love spending time with them together.”
The next year, Brooklyn told Us Weekly how his parents’ long-lasting marriage is inspiring his own.
“My dad was just always [like] look, ‘Just always treat her like a princess,’” Brooklyn exclusively told Us in September 2023. “[He said,] ‘Just talk and have fun. Enjoy each other and just work and do your guys’ thing. I think one of probably the most important things that you can do in your life is find that someone and don’t let ’em go. I married my best friend, so it’s just easy, fun.”
