Romeo Beckham and girlfriend Kim Turnbull have called it quits as tensions within the Beckham family remain at a fever pitch.
Us Weekly understands the couple split in May after seven months together.
The breakup happened three weeks after a 50th birthday party thrown in honor of Romeo’s father, David Beckham, which was attended by both Romeo, 22, and Turnbull, 26, on May 2.
Daily Mail was the first to break the news of the couple’s breakup.
Romeo and Turnbull were first linked in November 2024 when he included her in a carousel of photos from a trip to New York City.
David’s birthday party became a major point of contention for the family after Romeo’s brother Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, decided to skip the soiree in order to avoid interacting with Romeo and Turnbull.
A source exclusively told Us last month that Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, requested a “separate meetup” with David surrounding his birthday, but he and his wife, Victoria Beckham, turned down their suggestion.
“David and Victoria just want to treat everyone the same and approach life like a family and the family does things a certain way,” the source explained. “But Brooklyn isn’t playing it like that, and everything is a drama.”
The source added, “They just tell the whole family there’s a party, ‘Here’s the time, here’s the date.’ It’s not that complicated. Everyone else seems OK with it.”
The birthday party, held at London’s Core restaurant, was also attended by Victoria, 51, and the couple’s two youngest children: son Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13.
Just last week, a separate source exclusively told Us Weekly that Brooklyn and Nicola were still not on speaking terms with his parents.
“There hasn’t been any sort of resolution from either side,” the source said, noting that David and Victoria haven’t attempted to reach out either.
Despite a recent “quick” trip to London from his home in Los Angeles, Brooklyn didn’t reach out “because things are tense and he didn’t think it would be a productive conversation.”
In the aftermath of the birthday party, the source said Brooklyn is “giving everyone space” at the home he shares with Nicola in Los Angeles.
“They have their own separate lives and have been carrying on for now,” the insider added.
Despite all of the current bad blood, another source recently told Us Weekly that David and Victoria are optimistic about a path forward.
“Friends and people around them see a long road to mending this,” the source explained. “But there is a desire to mend on David and Victoria’s part.”
