Kristen Doute subtly threw some shade Lala Kent‘s way while discussing the Vanderpump Rules alum’s upcoming cameo on The Valley.

Kristen, 41, joined the conversation on Tuesday, February 4, after Bravo released the first look at season 2 of The Valley. In the comments section, several fans expressed concern that Lala, 34, would get too much screen time, with one reply reading, “Not looking forward to seeing Lala but based on her recent behavior with the exit of VPR, I’m optimistic that this will be a bad season for her, which I will enjoy.”

The Valley viewers got some reassurance from Kristen, who wrote back, “The Valley isn’t about her so come along for our ride!”

Kristen’s tease comes after Lala herself weighed in on her limited involvement. “I wouldn’t say I’m a big part of it. I pop in,” she said on Heather McDonald‘s “Juicy Scoop” podcast on Thursday, January 30. “I’m very, very pregnant at that point in time. We will see what makes it. It just made sense.”

In addition to Lala, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies and Tom Schwartz are also expected to appear on the Vanderpump Rules spinoff. The Valley season 2 was in production before Bravo confirmed Vanderpump Rules would be going through a cast overhaul for season 12.

Bravo originally put the new Vanderpump Rules season on pause after the cast ended up at odds due to Tom Sandoval‘s split from Ariana Madix following his affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. While the new cast list has yet to be announced, Lala is one of multiple stars who have opened up about being ready for a change.

“I’ve spoken about this many times, so I apologize if I’m boring you,” she shared on Amazon Live in December 2024. “I felt like I started mourning Vanderpump Rules the moment I purged on that finale. So not only did I know it was coming to an end after that, but I feel like the moment we started filming season 11 it was going to be the last.”

Lala added: “It just felt like there was nothing — it was broken. It was very broken. So I feel OK with it. I feel very much at peace.”

While Lala is expected to make an appearance on The Valley, it remains unclear whether she is getting involved in the drama. Her cameo comes amid her ongoing feud with Kristen, which began in November 2023.

Lala originally cut off contact after accusing Kristen of not showing support at a live podcast taping when Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi threw shade at Lala’s lack of a coparenting relationship with ex Randall Emmett.

“We got into a fight. She stopped speaking to me,” Kristen recalled on the “Viall Files” podcast in June 2024. “I found out per Brittany [Cartwright] that Lala says I am dead to her because of this. I tried reaching out to her and never spoke to her.”

Kristen tried to reason with Lala but hit a wall. “Her text back to me was essentially she doesn’t give a s—,” she claimed. “Some people are meant to be friends for a season or a reason or a lifetime and I think you and I are friends for a season. And she goes, ‘Great.’ That was it.”

At the time, Kristen made it clear that she had no regrets, adding, “I don’t need that in my life. I feel like friendships with Lala come with so many conditions. It is so conditional. If you do this then you are on her good side.”

The Valley returns to Bravo later this year.
