Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is officially a married man.
Less than three months after winning Super Bowl LIX, Hurts, 26, announced he and Bry Burrows recently tied the knot. “You can call her my wife,” Hurts told Men’s Health in a story published on Tuesday, April 22.
Hurts and Burrows are keeping details of their wedding private, but the NFL star was carrying around a Post-It note from his new wife during his interview with the publication.
“You are exactly where you are supposed to be,” the note read. “I love you. Follow God! I follow you.”
The couple met during their time together at the University of Alabama and confirmed their relationship in 2023. Hurts and Burrows got engaged in September 2024.
Hurts popped the question to Burrows in an oceanfront proposal complete with a violinist, candles and red roses on the beach.
“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts told Essence after the engagement. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”
Burrows was on hand at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans when Hurts and the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on February 9. Cameras caught the couple embracing and kissing on the field after the victory.
In the aftermath of the win, Hurts told reporters he couldn’t wait “to enjoy this with my family and soak it in.”
Burrows also accompanied Hurts to Disney World the day after the Super Bowl for a celebration at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”
The couple took a ride on the Tron Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster as their first stop inside the Florida theme park.
Hurts told Men’s Health he “allocated five days of celebration” before getting back to work.
“It’s hard for me to enjoy certain successes in real time, because I’m in pursuit of something,” Hurts explained. “You have to have a constant drive. It has to burn within you to where you don’t want to stop. How can I better myself? How can I evolve? It’s days and nights and years of hard work paying off. Now, what do I have to do the next time around?”
He added, “I’m not ever in a place where I’m the same person. Those calluses, those bumps, those bruises — they’re all necessary for you to be who you’re supposed to be. You have to embrace them.”
The Eagles begin their quest for a second-consecutive Super Bowl when the 2025 NFL season kicks off on September 4.
