A lawsuit filed in federal court in Philadelphia is the latest sign of growing parent pushback against technology in public schools.
Seven families are suing the 8,500-student Lower Merion School District over a policy requiring their children to use internet-connected school devices.
In their complaint filed Aug. 26, the families argue that the school board’s repeal of a longstanding policy allowing parents to decline internet-connected devices for their children has created a “digital free-for-all.”
