A Bronx mom allegedly dumped her newborn son in a trash — with his umbilical cord still attached — outside an apartment this week, cops said.

The infant was found swaddled in a blanket and stuffed into a garbage bag in front of an apartment door on East 223rd Street near White Plains Road in Olinville around 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

His mom, Claudette Tinnin, 28, who lives about a block away, was arrested some six hours later and charged with reckless endangerment, acting in a manner injurious to a child and abandonment of a child, police said.

A 71-year-old woman who lives in that unit made the unsettling discovery and called 911, law enforcement sources said.

The NYPD responded and rushed the conscious and alert baby in their own cruiser to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, cops and sources said.

It was not immediately clear where or when Tinnin gave birth.

She was hospitalized Thursday and awaiting arraignment, prosecutors said.
