The New York mom who intentionally jumped to her death into the Niagara Falls with her young children sent her kids over the railing first, according to a report.

State Park Police said Thursday that they reviewed security footage of Luna Park, a small area near the crest of the falls, and were able to confirm the sequence of events of the fatal plunge, according to the Niagara Gazette.

Roman Rossman, 9, was the first in the family to go into the water followed by five-month-old Mecca Means — and then went their mother, Chianti Means, 33, State Police said at a press conference according to the Gazette.

When asked whether the mother was chasing after her children, State Police Public Information Officer Trooper James O’Callaghan said, “No, we believe this was intentional.”

“Not going to get into what the witnesses saw because it’s still an active case, but it is alarming what they told us,” O’Callaghan said at the news conference, the Niagara Gazette reports.

State and Park Police officers were called to Goat Island on Monday at 9:30 p.m. after eyewitnesses called to report they saw a woman go over the falls with her children.

Chianti climbed over a four-foot guardrail Monday night at Luna Island to get to the precipice from which she would lead her children to their demise.

Investigators have no update on a motive or reason behind the act, but are investigating whether a mental health crisis or mental health disorders played a part in the tragic incident, according to the Niagara Gazette.

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation are conducting a probe but do not anticipate any charges to be brought, according to the Niagara Gazette.

The fathers of Roman and Mecca are each cooperating with investigators, according to the Niagara Gazette.

Investigators have yet to recover the bodies of any of the victims.
