National Burrito Day 2026: Here are the deals and freebies from Chipotle, Moe’s and more

Today, April 2, is National Burrito Day, celebrated every year on the first Thursday in April.

Of course, the beloved Mexican dish is popular year-round — but why not use the dedicated day to indulge in savory meats, cheeses, legumes and veggies enveloped by a hot and chewy tortilla?

To celebrate, there are plenty of deals that you can get wrapped up in.

Chipotle

To celebrate the big day, Chipotle is offering free delivery on digital orders placed through the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com and Chipotle.ca on April 2.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

On April 2, Moe’s is offering BOGO burritos and bowls all day in-store. Guests can buy any burrito, bowl or Moe Value Meal and get a second one for free.

Those who are Moe Rewards members get even more perks with an exclusive 48-hour early access to the BOGO offer, starting March 31. Plus, rewards members who make a purchase on April 2 will automatically be entered to win free burritos for a year, and 100 lucky winners will be notified via push notification.

QDOBA

QDOBA is inviting fans to “Block the Burrito Hour” on April 2 with a free entrée with the purchase of an entrée and drink. To get the deal, join QDOBA Rewards or download the app. After purchasing an entrée and a drink, excluding quesadillas, and receive a reward for a free entrée.

On April 2, QDOA will automatically add the “Free Entrée with Purchase of an Entrée + Drink” reward into your Rewards Wallet. The offer is valid only for rewards members in-restaurant, online and through the app.

Del Taco

Del Taco is celebrating National Burrito Day by giving away free Classic Burritos nationwide. For one day only, fans can get a free Classic Burrito with any $3 minimum purchase at participating locations, exclusively though the Del Yeah! Rewards app or online.

Guests must be registered, save the offer and select it prior to redemption, and the offer is limited one per guest.

Taco John’s

On April 2, head to Taco John’s for a free burrito on National Burrito Day. Rewards members can get a free Bean Burrito with any purchase of $3 or more when ordering through the Taco John’s app.

Laredo Taco Company

7-Eleven’s Laredo Taco Company is offering their Chicken Fajita Burrito for just $5. The burrito is made with juicy chicken, sauteed vegetables and seasonings, wrapped in a warm tortilla. The limited-time offer is available at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations.

Chronic Tacos

In honor of National Burrito Day, Chronic Tacos will offer loyal members a Buy One, Get One Free burrito promotion for one day only, available exclusively through the Chronic Tacos App.

Fans can choose any burrito, whether that be Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas or Fish and Shrimp, though Cali and Surf & Turf burritos are excluded from the promotion. The offer is limited to one per customer per order, while supplies last.

“National Burrito Day is the perfect time to celebrate one of our most popular menu items and reward our loyal fans,” Mike Mohammed, CEO of Chronic Tacos, said in a staement. “Our burritos are packed with bold flavors and fresh ingredients, and this BOGO offer is a fun way to share that experience with friends and family.”

Farmer Boys

The fast-casual west coast chain Farmer Boys is celebrating National Burrito Day with a one-day deal. Farmer Boys VIF (Very Important Farmer) members can get BOGO 50% off any breakfast burrito exclusively through the VIP App.

Farmer Boys’ breakfast burritos are made with cage-free eggs, fresh ingredients and house-made salsa, with options including bacon and sausage varieties. The 50% off offer goes toward one breakfast burrito of equal or lesser of the other purchased.

Surcheros

Surcheros is offering a rewards-exclusive for the foodie holiday. Rewards members can get Buy One Burrito, Get One 50% Off. The offer is valid all day through the Surcheros app, online or in-restaurant.

California Tortilla

California Tortilla, known for its “Wall of Flame” of 75+ hot sauces, is giving guests the chance to buy any burrito on April 2 and get a $10 reward to use on a future visit. The offer is available at participating locations.

Margaritas Mexican Restaurants

On April 2, Margaritas Mexican Restaurant will celebrate National Burrito Day by offering members of its “Circle of Friends” rewards program half off their burrito entrée.

Members must have joined Margs’ “Circle of Friends” app by March 31 to cash in on the offer, which is available at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant locations in New England and New Jersey. 

Taco Cabana

To celebrate National Burrito Day, Taco Cabana is offering an exclusive one-day offer for My TC! Rewards members. With the purchase of a burrito, rewards members can get 25% off any order.

Tocaya

Tocaya is celebrating National Burrito Day with a special offer for rewards members. On April 2, Tocaya Rewards Members can get a free side of chips and guacamole with the purchase of any burrito.

Anna’s Taqueria

On National Burrito Day, Anna’s Taqueria is debuting a new collaboration, The Big Papi Burrito. Hall of Famer David “Big Papi” Ortiz made his namesake burrito inspired by his Domincan roots, featuring chipotle-smothered steak, cheese, Mexican rice, sweet peppers, fajita veggies, sliced avocado, queso fresco, pinto beans, cilantro and onions.

“I’m pumped to team up with Anna’s Taqueria to bring my creation to my friends in Boston and beyond,” Ortiz said in a statement. “Anna’s is a big part of our local flavor, and I know we’ll hit it out of the park with this drop.”

The all-star burrito will debut at all 13 New England locations on April 2, the day before the Red Sox home opener. Plus, Anna’s will be donating $1 from each burrito sold to the David Ortiz Children’s Fund.

TacoTime

In honor of the beloved food holiday, TacoTime guests can enjoy Buy One, Get One Free Crisp Burritos. The offer is valid for new and existing TacoTime Fresh Rewards members and runs through April 5. Existing loyalty members will see the offer automatically loaded into their account.
