Gail Rudnick and Kim Murstein — the no-nonsense hosts of hit podcast series “Excuse My Grandma” — are The Post’s brand-new advice columnists.

From family feuds to friendship fallouts, money, marriage and sex, there’s no topic too taboo to tackle, and the native New Yorkers will hash out each issue from their differing perspectives to tell the tough-love truth — and you’ll thank them for it.

This week they’re tackling a mom who is constantly embarrassing her kids, and a woman who can’t bear that her boyfriend is using AI to plan dates.

Dear Excuse My Advice,

My mom is hitting a phase where she’s acting childish. She won’t stop saying Gen Z and Gen A slang. How do I tell my mom to stop trying to be young?

Grandma Gail: Oh, give the woman a break. Let her have a good time if that makes her comfortable.

Kim: It’s cringe for sure. Like if you see a woman of a certain age in a crop top dancing on a table, you make a comment?

Grandma Gail: Right. Well, that’s different. But she’s saying slang… I wouldn’t even know the words, the things she’s talking about…

Kim: Like, if she is using slang that 15 year olds use to stay cool…

Grandma Gail: You know what? She’s trying to be part of her daughter or son’s life, and give the woman a break. She’ll grow out of it very soon.

Kim: The more you embrace your age, the cooler you are.

Grandma Gail: I think that’s true. But she’s not at that point yet. She wants to stay very young.

Kim: No, I’m not saying act like a granny. I’m saying like, act like yourself. And I think you’ll come off as the best, most sophisticated, most chic version of yourself.

Grandma Gail: I agree.

Dear Excuse My Advice,

My fiance uses AI to plan almost everything. I’m starting to worry he’s outsourcing emotional effort. Is this a red flag?

Grandma Gail: No!!

Kim: This is me.

Grandma Gail: Yeah, but this is not a red flag. This is somebody who wants to really do the best he can. And he needs all the help that modern technology now offers them. I think it’s great.

Kim: But you don’t want to turn off your brain and just allow AI to, like, make the decisions for you.

Grandma Gail: The planning part is perfectly fine.

Kim: But once you start using it for like emotional support…

Grandma Gail: It’s different.

Kim: It’s kind of a little much, yes. But I think in this case it’s not a red flag just because I’m also obsessed with AI. And I’m gonna put in my two cents.

Grandma Gail: I don’t think it’s a red flag. Stop worrying about all the perfect plans. I mean, too much conversation on perfection and enough — just enjoy each other.
