Far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos groused that getting arrested and deported from the US left him feeling like an “MS-13 gang member” — and “ashamed” of his support of President Trump and his tough immigration policies.

The booted Brit complained to Piers Morgan about his treatment last Thursday when he was busted for failing to show at a hearing more than a month after getting a final-removal notice.

“I didn’t really understand the physical reality of how institutionalized the brutality is in America. The manner in which they arrest you. They put you in manacles, your hands, your feet, chained together,” he bellyached.

“Everybody is arrested like a MS-13 gang member. And it hurts a lot more than it looks like on television.”

The 41-year-old British national, who entered the US legally in 2019, was arrested at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Aug. 27 after the “illegal alien” failed to show up for a hearing following a final removal order issued July 22, the Department of Homeland Security told The Post.

He was deported a day later, but Yiannopoulos, previously a staunch advocate for deporting illegal immigrants, wasn’t a fan of ICE’s hospitality once he was in custody, saying he had never been more frightened in his life.

He told Morgan that the government’s version of events leading up to his arrest was “a lie from top to bottom,” and that he only missed the immigration hearing because the notices were sent to old addresses.

“I’m married to an American,” he said, even though he is in the middle of a divorce while calling himself an “ex-gay.”

“There’s no reason I would take a risk like this. I didn’t need to overstay a visa. There were dozens of companies who could have sponsored me.”

He said he applied for a green card after his 2017 marriage to John Campbell, though the pair began divorce proceedings in April and Yiannopoulos claims he is no longer gay after finding religion.

He claimed ICE canceled his work permit without notifying him and deliberately withheld that information from his attorney.

“I’ve seen all the machinery of the government lining up to lie,” he said.

Yiannopoulos, who has worked for controversial rapper and self-described Adolf Hitler admirer Kanye West and palled around with far-right commentator and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, alleged ICE denied him access to a phone and nurse during his brief time in custody, and said he was not given food for 24 hours.

He even claimed two immigration agents walked off the job when they saw he had been detained.

The experience, he told Morgan, made him “very ashamed” of his past support for Trump and the policies he so forcefully used to push himself.

“To think that the promise and hope and joy and the anticipation of Trump 2016 could, sort of, over the course of 10 years, collapse into this ugly, warmongering, whole mentally ill heap of crazy – with some of the most unstable and lunatic people, seemingly directing the President’s actions!” he said.

“If I had any clue that anything remotely like this was even possible, I would never have got involved in supporting Trump in the first place and I’m very ashamed that I did.”
