Prince Harry is back in the United States, and Meghan Markle couldn’t be happier.

Markle toasted to her husband’s safe return following his recent trip to the U.K., sharing a photo via the official Instagram account of her brand As Ever on Sunday, September 14.

“When your beau is back in town…” the Duchess of Sussex wrote in the caption, alongside a photo of two glasses of wine.

Harry traveled to the U.K. on September 8 to attend a variety of events, including the WellChild Awards as well as a visit to the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London. During his trip, Prince Harry reunited with his estranged father, King Charles, after nearly two years apart on Wednesday, September 10. Photos and video shared via social media revealed the pair each arrived separately to Charles’ London residence, Clarence House.

The reunion between the pair was described as “super positive and very relaxed” by a source who spoke exclusively to Us. “The meeting was sparked by a handwritten letter from Harry earlier this year to Charles expressing his desire to reconnect,” they added.

Of the conversation, the source continued, “They were catching up personally about the children and what has been going on with Charles and his health. There were hugs and tears at the meeting.”

The last time Harry publicly visited his father was in February 2024, shortly after the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.

“Charles does want to meet Harry,” a royal source told Us in a September cover story. “He doesn’t want this falling-out to overshadow his legacy. But Harry has caused chaos and hurt, so it’s complicated.”

Royal historian Marlene Koenig also said: “If there is a meeting, it will be private and more likely to be on the king’s terms rather than Harry’s.”

The visit was also his first since he lost a legal appeal for government-funded security in May. After his legal loss, the Duke of Sussex sat down for what proved to be a dramatic interview with the BBC.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry said at the time. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

He continued, “There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands. Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts [to] do what is necessary.”

The last time Markle was in the United Kingdom was September 2022, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The pair’s son Archie, 6, was born in England, but Harry and Markle have not visited the country with both of their children. (The pair also share daughter Lilibet, 4.
