Meghan Markle was the epitome of California cool during her latest public outing with husband Prince Harry.

Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, made a surprise appearance at the One805LIVE! concert in Carpinteria, California on Saturday, September 20, during which the Duchess of Sussex wowed in a navy frock.

Meghan wore a button-down halter dress that featured a cinched waist and a pair of pockets. She accessorized her look with a stack of gold bangles and rings.

For glam, Meghan kept her makeup minimalistic and wore her brown locks in loose waves that cascaded over one shoulder.

Harry, for his part, matched his wife and sported a navy button-down shirt with a pair of dark jeans and a black, dotted blazer.

Meghan and Harry stepped out at Saturday’s benefit concert to honor local first responders in California. They moved to Montecito in 2020 after leaving the U.K. and stepping down from their duties as senior working royals. Since moving back to the United States, Meghan has switched up her approach to getting dressed for events.

“Times where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with,” Meghan told The New York Times in an August 2024 profile, also highlighting the important of working with smaller brands “that haven’t gotten the attention that they should be getting.”

She continued, “That’s one of the most powerful things that I’m able to do, and that’s simply wearing, like, an earring.”

According to Meghan, she often discovers local designers by online shopping.

“I spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands,” the As Ever founder explained. “When people are online looking for things or reading things, I’m trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories.”
