She got more than a dressing-down.
A Florida McDonald’s worker choked a 17-year-old girl to the floor after the teen allegedly went behind the counter to get her own ranch dressing, police said.
Akeena Sampson, 31, was working at a St. Petersburg location of the fast food chain on April 4 when she “knowingly or willfully” abused a teen, the Miami Herald reported.
Employees weren’t helping the teen when she snuck behind the counter to retrieve some ranch, police wrote in an arrest affidavit obtained by the paper.
As the girl was walking away, Sampson grabbed her arm and began attacking the young girl.
The teen tried to break loose before Sampson grabbed her neck, “choking her and taking her to the ground,” police said.
Sampson is accused of continuing to choke the girl while on the floor and leaving her with “visible injuries” on her neck and elbow, according to the affidavit.
Police also reviewed footage, which reportedly captured the entire altercation.
Sampson was arrested on a charge of child abuse without great bodily harm.
Pinellas County records show Sampson was held on a $2,500 bond, but has since bonded out, according to Fox News.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s USA said they were aware of the incident and have placed Sampson on administrative leave as an investigation is underway.
“We do not tolerate violence of any kind in our restaurants,” the chain said in a statement. “This individual was immediately placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. We are assisting and cooperating with local law enforcement efforts.”
