They’re back, baby.

To appease budget-conscious customers, McDonald’s has officially confirmed the return of the beloved Extra Value Meals to US restaurants.

Coming Sept. 8, customers will be able to choose from two Extra Value Meal offers — $5 for breakfast and $8 for lunch/dinner for a limited time.

Then in November, McDonald’s menus will offer $5 Sausage, Egg and Cheese McGriddle meals and $8 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meals.

In addition to that, eight discounted options will also be available.

These include the Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddles, Egg McMuffin, Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, Big Mac, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and any variety of Quarter Pounder Burger or McCrispy Sandwich, which will save customers 15% compared to purchasing the entree, fries and a drink separately.

The Extra Value Meals originated in 1991 but eventually phased out in 2019 — until now.

“We’ve been working hard to make our meals more affordable, giving you the food you love at a price that hits the spot,” McDonald’s said in a press release.

“McDonald’s USA is laser-focused on delivering value and affordability for our customers, and I’m incredibly proud of how our franchisees and teams continue to step up to make it a reality,” Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA, said in a statement.

“From the $5 Meal Deal to McValue and now Extra Value Meals, we’re sending a clear message: we’re here for our customers. McDonald’s will always be a place where you can get the food you love at a price that fits your life.”

To celebrate the return of the Extra Value Meals, the Golden Arches is offering discounts on two of the most popular meal options — the $5 Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal, which includes hash browns and a small coffee and the $8 Big Mac meal that includes medium fries and a medium soft drink.

“Bringing back Extra Value Meals reflects the company and franchisees’ shared commitment to offering everyday affordable prices,” McDonald’s Owner/Operator and National Franchisee Leadership Alliance (NFLA) Chair Danielle Marasco said.

“We’re working together to keep the menu items our customers love affordable for everyone in the communities we serve.”

Additionally, McDonald’s will be offering the beloved Snack Wrap for $2.99 through the end of the year.

After years of customers begging and waiting, the Snack Wrap finally returned to restaurants nationwide on Thursday, July 10.

The anticipated Snack Wrap now comes in two flavors:

  • Spicy: Bold, zesty and unapologetically fiery. The Spicy Snack Wrap has a habanero kick that fans know and love from the Spicy McCrispy sandwich.
  • Ranch: Smooth, rich and irresistibly savory. The Ranch Snack Wrap offers a burst of cool ranch goodness, with hints of garlic and onion.
