McDonald’s employees outside the U.S. are serving burgers and fries — with a side of fashion.
Fans of the fast-food chain are craving more than just the value menu after a customer shared a video of unexpectedly stylish “McJeans” that European workers wear.
The TikTok clip — racking up over 8.1 million views — features two workers casually covering their shifts in the perfectly fitted blue jeans, each stamped with a subtle McDonald’s “M” logo on the back-right pocket.
“I’m gonna need a pair of these McJeans,” the creator wrote in the overlay, adding in the caption: “@McDonald’s Europe has branded McJeans. Holla at ya boy with a pair.”
The “McMerch” discovery deep-fried people’s minds.
“She’s serving and then serving,” one commenter wrote, with another chiming in, “These are so McCute.”
Another excitedly added, “McApple bottom jeans ahh.”
While most fast-food uniforms don’t quite turn heads, McDonald’s gives each global region the freedom to add its own flavor, Chowhound reported.
In places like Poland, Brazil, Ukraine and the Netherlands, denim is standard-issue, ranging from jeans and shirts to aprons.
In the UK, staff rock a casual, cool look with T-shirts, jeans and even bucket hats.
Uniforms in France have a more minimalist, black-on-black style, and Portugal’s uniforms offer a business-casual chic with cardigans and embroidered scarves. The region seems to have put in the most effort, commissioning fashion designer Katty Xiomara to cook up the styles.
Meanwhile, the American uniforms — including the jeans, which, along with other pieces, were created by Affinity brand designer Bindu Rivas — lean more into function over fashion. Last year, stores in the U.S. debuted sustainable uniforms with aprons, jeans and T-shirts made from recycled plastic.
The company did not immediately respond to The Post’s request to comment.
Uniforms aren’t the only products that have gotten McMakovers.
McDonald’s has long tailored its menu to reflect local tastes, including McSpaghetti in the Philippines and the McKroket — a deep-fried croquette sandwich — in the Netherlands.
