Beloved food show host Adam Richman is giving fans an update following a mysterious second operation.

“I’m home, and grateful to have made it through,” the Man v. Food host wrote in an update to an original Instagram post shared on Friday, May 23. “Feeling quite rough, but that’s to be expected. Looking to use this summer to rebuild mentally and physically and come out with some new bangers for you this fall.”

He added, “Also Jalen Brunson should NOT have tried that long range three,” referring to the New York Knicks’ guard and his recent playoff performance

On Friday, Richman, 51, shared a vague post asking fans for their prayers and well-wishes ahead of a mysterious second surgery.

“Hello beautiful people. Don’t want to scare anyone like last time, so just want to be ultra clear-Today is surgery number two,” he wrote. “And because nobody knows the future, I just wanted to once again tell all those who have been so kind and supportive of me & the shows I make and have made, I am forever grateful & love you all so much.”

The original post continued, “If I’m granted the opportunity to come out of this, I promise I’ll continue to work my tail off to give you my all. Blessed to live the life I have & yes, blessed to live long enough to see my beloved @spursofficial lift a European Trophy. If ya have a second, lift your boy up in your prayers. See ya on the other side.”

One month earlier, the former host sparked concern over his health after sharing a cryptic Instagram post in which he said he never claimed to be perfect.

“Thank you all for the support you have given & the chance to live out my dreams to uplift so many others through the shows that I make, and to tell their stories,” he wrote on April 10. “I’m not perfect, never claimed to be. I’ve always tried my best and tried to lead with love. I’m rooting for all of you, & appreciate every last one of you.”

Later, Richman gave fans an update in which he explained the post and apologized for causing so much online worry.

“I wasn’t going to say anything because it’s kind of a personal nature,” he said at the time. “So I have to have a couple of surgeries. Thankfully it’s just to fix some injuries I’ve had. It’s nothing, God forbid, related to a much more serious medical condition. But they’re serious surgeries to fix these injuries.”

Richman went on to explain that his father had undergone what he referred to as a “routine surgery” when he was 52 and “never came out,” which left the television host afraid of hospitals and surgeries.

“These injuries are maybe a little bit of a result of me feeling my own age,” he added. “I’m scared. I’m super scared out of my mind, and a bit sad. I know nowadays, everyone’s trying to be a sigma — no one wants to admit any kind of fear, but I’m scared.”

Ahead of his unspecified procedures, Richman said he “prayed” and, as a result, felt “a lot of gratitude and a bit of humility” which ultimately inspired him to share the original, concerning post.

“I was trying to communicate because the bottom line is that I work at the pleasure of the people that enjoy my shows,” he explained. “That enjoy me as a host —or whatever that is.”
