Love Is Blind is not for the weak of heart — at least that’s what alums Taylor Krause, Garrett Josemans and Marissa George tell Us.

The trio, who were all part of Netflix’s season 7 cast, exclusively told Us Weekly their best advice ahead of season 9’s premiere in October.

Taylor, 31, joked that “therapy” is what everyone needs while watching the show back in real time.

Garrett, who met and fell in love with Taylor in the pods, suggested a “strong support system” to help navigate fame, ridicule and watching yourself on TV.

“I mean, lean on your friends, understand that this too shall pass,” Garrett, 34, exclusively told Us on Thursday, July 18, while attending Netflix’s Summer Break event in Santa Monica, California. “It [has] got to [be] a cliche, but it feels so hot and heavy in the moment, but it’s very week to week. Things change very quickly and yeah; you got to weather the storm if you’re going through it but get outside.”

Taylor, who married Garrett in 2024, added that the newbies should “touch some grass,” and reconnect with what’s real. “I would say that the human brain is not meant to handle that much attention,” she confessed. “For us, it ended up so positive and great and it was so overwhelming.”

Taylor added, “So whatever happens, the s*** is going to hit the fan. If you don’t think it’s going to hit the fan, you’re not being realistic.”

Marissa, who left the pods a single woman, offered up her own advice for the new cast from Denver, saying, “Go into the experience.”

She told Us that she’d suggest being “vulnerable and open” to the process. “Stay out of your head,” Marissa, 33, advised.

Once the episodes begin to air, Marissa said the contestants should “surround yourself with friends and family who know you before the show because they’ll remind you who you are because you will get lost at times.”

She confessed, “You’re like, ‘Am I really what people are saying?’”

Fans met Taylor, Garrett and Marissa during season 7 of the Netflix dating series, which premiered in October 2024. The season featured Washington, D.C. residents and ended with both love and heartbreak.

Taylor and Garrett said, “I do” during the season finale, which aired in October 2024.

“The beautiful thing about us is that we didn’t expect to come in here and find our person. We came in here to just learn more about ourselves, and a very small glimmer of hope that we might find someone we want to spend the rest of our lives with,” Garrett told Taylor while exchanging vows. “To find the connection that we had in the pods and to find a feeling that I hadn’t felt before and I never thought I would find, and then to have that just buoyed by seeing you, I didn’t think it was possible to feel this way.”

He added, “I’ve found a partner who is so perfectly matched for me, and I’m perfectly matched for you. And that’s exactly what this is, a partnership.”

Marissa, meanwhile, was engaged to Ramses Prashad heading into the season finale but Ramses called off their wedding. “I feel like I’m dying. I don’t know. Two days ago, he told me he’s so excited to get married. We picked out our first dance song and he got emotional because he envisioned us getting married,” Marissa told her mom during the episode.

She explained, “So it’s really hard for me to come to the conclusion that we’re done. I feel insane, I feel crazy, like, did I make it all up in my head?”

Fans of Love Is Blind have since followed another group of singles from Minneapolis, Minnesota, for season 8, which aired in February. Season 9 will take viewers to Denver, Colorado. The new season premieres on October 1.
