A Long Island man stabbed a 65-year-old guy in the neck during a meeting in the basement of a Suffolk County church last week, police said.
Daniel Escobar, 33, of Bay Shore is accused of attacking the victim in a scuffle in the basement of First United Methodist Church in Amityville around 8:30 p.m. Friday, then fleeing, according to cops.
Escobar was tracked down and taken into custody shortly after 10:20 p.m. the same day, authorities said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said.
