Lindsey Vonn continues to share the highs and lows of her injury recovery with the Olympian’s millions of followers on social media.

Vonn, 41, took to Instagram on Monday, March 16, posting a carousel of photos and videos from her ongoing rehab journey.

“Life lately…,” she captioned the post, which showed the legendary skier performing various exercises and undergoing treatments.

One video, in particular, gave an up-close-and-personal look at Vonn’s leg being worked on.

The carousel ended with an image of Vonn’s late dog Leo’s ashes in a box. Leo died last month, just hours after Vonn crashed and completely tore her ACL at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

“This has been an incredibly hard few days. Probably the hardest of my life,” Vonn shared via Instagram on February 18. “I still have not come to terms that he is gone …The day I crashed, so did Leo. He had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer (he survived lymphoma a year and a half ago) but now his heart was failing him. He was in pain and his body could no longer keep up with his strong mind.”

She continued, “As I layed in my hospital bed the day after my crash, we said goodbye to my big boy. I had lost so much that meant something to me in such a short amount of time. I can’t believe it. My boy has been with me since my second ACL injury, when I needed him most. He held me on the sofa as I watched the Sochi Olympics. He lifted me up when I was down. He layed by me, and [cuddled] me, always making me feel safe and loved. We have been through so much together in 13 years.”

Vonn underwent multiple surgeries in Italy after being airlifted off the course following her dramatic crash during the women’s downhill event in Milano Cortina.

After arriving back on American soil earlier this month, Vonn said she was aware of the metaphorical mountain in front of her.

“I’m focused now on therapy and getting healthy,” she shared via Instagram on March 1. “It’s going to be a hard and painful journey but I am putting all of my energy into it, like I always do. I’m going to take some time for myself. I’ll give you updates when I can but right now my focus is on taking care of myself.”

As for her skiing future, Vonn said she’s “not ready to discuss” that yet.

“My focus has been on recovering from my injury and getting back to normal life,” she wrote via X on Sunday, March 15. “I was already retired for 6 years and have an amazing life outside of skiing. It was incredible to be #1 in the world again at 41 years old and set new records in my sport, but at my age, I’m the only one that will decide my future.”
