A Los Angeles judge denied Johnny Wactor’s mom Scarlett Wactor’s attempt to gain access to the late General Hospital star’s iPhone and laptop, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

On June 24, the court denied Scarlett due to there being “insufficient urgency to grant relief.”

When reached for comment on the setback, Scarlett told Us that she doesn’t know what her next step is, but she will be speaking to her attorney about potentially filing a new request in court. Scarlett said she did not expect this much trouble, especially since she is the court-appointed administrator.

She said if she tries to reset the devices, she will “lose all the things I want.”

She urges anyone with an Apple product to appoint a legacy contact to avoid their family having to go through the same thing.

As Us first reported, earlier this month, Scarlett, who was appointed administrator of Johnny’s estate, explained she was having issues getting Apple to unlock the devices.

Scarlett said that the tech company told her she needed a court order before they could assist her with viewing the contents of Johnny’s Apple laptop, his Apple desktop and his Apple iPhone.

In her motion, she asked that the court issue an order instructing Apple to help in the recovery of Johnny’s personal data.

Scarlett spoke to Us about the request earlier this week, explaining that the situation with Apple had been “frustrating” and she had issues canceling some of his accounts.

Scarlett said the devices likely contained photos and videos that she would love to see. She said she hoped to find a “bunch of good stuff” on his phone and laptop.

“I don’t want to erase [them],” she told Us.

As Us previously reported, Scarlett was in L.A. this week for the premiere of Johnny’s last film. Ciao, Mama.

Scarlett attended the premiere with Johnny’s brother, Lance Wactor. At the premiere, Scarlett spoke to reporters and explained that she was excited to hear her late son’s “voice and to see him.”

The soap star was murdered on May 25, 2024, in Downtown L.A. He was 37.

Johnny and his coworker Anita Joy were leaving the restaurant Level 8 when the actor approached his car to find armed thieves allegedly attempting to steal parts from his vehicle. The men shot Johnny at the scene.

A security guard attempted to perform CPR before the actor was rushed to the hospital.

Joy recalled the moments after Johnny got shot. She said, “he forcefully tumbled back into my arms and as I grabbed for him.”

A reward was offered for tips to find the suspects. Eventually, three members of the Florencia 13 gang were arrested over the murder and a fourth person was charged with being an accessory.

Two men, Robert Barceleau and Sergio Estrada, were officially charged for the murder. A third man, Leonel Gutierrez, had attempted robbery and a gun charge, filed against him. A fourth man, Frank Olano, was hit with a charge for receiving stolen property and having a firearm while being a felon.

According to reports, Gutierrez pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years in state prison. Olano had his charges reduced after pleading no contest. He was ordered to serve five years.

Barceleau and Estrada’s cases are still pending.
