Lady Gaga is toasting her fiancé Michael Polansky’s birthday with plenty of PDA.

“Happy Birthday to my honey. I hope 42 is your best year yet, you have done so much in your 42 years,” Gaga, 39, wrote via Instagram on Friday, September 26. “I am so proud of you every day, and so grateful for this day you came into the world, it was the most special day. This is my favorite day of the year!”

She continued, “A crisp and almost rainy day, a long walk, with the backdrop of a sweet birthday smile and lots of laughter and angel food cake with chocolate sauce. Even this goat knows what a happy day your birthday is to me. I love you.”

Gaga uploaded a photo of the engaged couple kissing in front of a petting zoo. In the snap, the pop star wore a black jacket over a striped miniskirt as she wrapped her arms around Polansky while they smooched.

In a second photo shared in the Instagram carousel, Polansky wrapped his arms around Gaga’s waist as he stole a kiss later at night.

Gaga and Polansky have been together since 2019, getting engaged five years later in 2024.

“I had never met anyone like Michael. He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and my life are very different,” Gaga told Vogue in September 2024, revealing Polansky popped the question after a rock climbing date. “He’s a very private guy and he’s not with me for any other reason than that we are right for each other. But, I think what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so happy. I’m healthy. I feel like the last time they heard from me — in this way — was Chromatica, and that album was about an absolutely horrible time for me with my mental health.”

She added at the time, “I was in a really dark place. I struggled for, like, many years before that. But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who saw the ways in which I was unhappy and why. And he wasn’t afraid to truly hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level.”

Polansky, similarly, often gushes about the “Born This Way” performer.

“She’s someone who is happiest when she’s creating. It’s one of the qualities I love most about her,” Polansky told Vogue. “But I see her enjoying it so much more than she did when I met her back in 2019.”

Gaga and Polansky were initially set up by the pop star’s mother, who met Polansky at a philanthropic event.

“My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’” Gaga recalled to the outlet. “I could never have imagined that my mom … found the most perfect person for me.”

By the time Gaga met Polansky herself, they effortlessly spoke for three hours in “the most amazing conversation.”

“I didn’t know much about her and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect,” he added at the time. “I was struck immediately by her warmth and openness — she was so genuinely curious about what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.”
