Kristin Cavallari is looking back at the time her ex-husband, Jay Cutler, was linked to Southern Charm‘s Madison LeCroy — but what does she think actually happened between them?
During the Wednesday, June 4, episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cavallari, 38, was asked by Andy Cohen whether “anything happened” between Cutler, 42, and LeCroy, 34. She replied, “Yes! Imagine if cameras were up then.”
Fellow guest Amanda Batula weighed in as well by joking that “crossovers are crazy.”
For those that need a refresher, 2020 was a wild time, with Cavallari and Cutler announcing their split after seven years of marriage.
“We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made and the children we are so proud of,” their joint statement read at the time. “This is just the situation of two people growing apart.”
Later that year, Southern Charm‘s Austen Kroll made headlines when he and Craig Conover hung out with Cavallari. Kroll, 37, for his part, was coming out of a tumultuous relationship with his costar LeCroy.
“She came to town with her friend Justin [Anderson] and the four of us [with Craig] had dinner,” Kroll exclusively told Us in October 2020. “We’ve all been in contact ever since. We’re in this, like, big old group chat, and the group chat is active. We had a blast with them, and I’m gonna take a trip to see them in Nashville sometime soon.”
Things took a turn when LeCroy was linked to Cutler. A source told Us in early 2021 that the Bravo star had a “new, flirty thing” with the former athlete, adding, “It’s nothing serious at this point. But they’re having fun getting to know each other.”
After LeCroy subsequently made fun of Cavallari on an Instagram Live, Cutler put on a united front with his ex-wife, writing via Instagram, “The world is full of users. 10 years. Can’t break that.”
Cutler and LeCroy’s brief romance fizzled out, and he is now engaged to Samantha Robertson. (LeCroy, meanwhile, is now married to Brett Randle.)
“We got a lot of things in the fire,” Cutler teased to Us earlier this month about wedding planning. “I mean, we haven’t officially started that yet, but we [will] in the future.
Cavallari, who shares kids Camden, 12, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9, with Cutler, recently showed her support for her ex-husband’s new partner.
“I knew her before. So, I think that helped because I could, sort of, envision their dynamic,” Cavallari revealed during the premiere episode of Honestly Cavallari: The Podcast Tour on Wednesday, June 4, during a conversation with Kim Zolciak-Biermann.
