Kristin Cavallari’s possible return to reality TV has been put on pause again.

During the Tuesday, July 22, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, Cavallari, 38, explained why she was “very happy” her Honestly Cavallari press tour was behind her, adding, “As fun as it was, it was not normal for me anymore. Being on TV is not part of my normal life anymore. I’ve said it a thousand times about my previous shows, but there is a level of stress that comes with being on a TV show. There just is.”

Cavallari wasn’t expecting to feel so overwhelmed while promoting her recent E! docuseries.

“It was a lot. It’s funny, because right after I said that I would love to do another season — and I would love to do a podcast tour. But now that the dust has settled and I’ve taken a second, I actually don’t know that I want to do either one again,” she admitted. “I think the show and the podcast tour were both so great. And the response to the show was amazing.”

Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, which aired in June on E!, followed Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast tour journey. The show marked Cavallari’s return to reality TV after she rose to stardom documenting her life for Laguna Beach and The Hills before returning to the TV spotlight with Very Cavallari.

“Obviously, the podcast tour was incredible. I got what I needed from it personally [by] pushing myself out of my comfort zone and accomplishing my biggest fear in life. I just don’t feel like I need to do it again,” she explained on Tuesday. “The show was so good, and with the first season [working so well], I almost don’t want to put pressure on myself to have another really good season.”

While reflecting on her recent reality TV return, Cavallari noted she didn’t know whether she “could do that again,” adding, “We got really lucky with a lot of the natural drama. I just don’t think TV is for me anymore, is what I’ve realized. It’s just not.”

Cavallari is currently focused on her next steps, which won’t include capturing highlights for public consumption.

“I’m so thankful I did it. I had so much fun. I loved the show but I just don’t think it’s something I want to do again. I’m really happy having this podcast and [my company] Uncommon James — and that’s kind of it. My work-life balance is so good that I don’t think I want to rock the boat again,” she explained. “In a lot of ways, like, putting this out into the universe is finalizing that decision. But maybe subconsciously this is kind of what I want to do. I just don’t even want to do it again.”

Cavallari’s unofficial decision comes after she recently spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about how filming the Honestly Cavallari: The Podcast Tour was “the most fun” she’s ever had on a show.

“I’ve said a million times I would never go back [to reality TV] and I sort of stand by that because this is not a show about just my day-to-day life. I was already going on a podcast tour, and so I just kind of thought, ‘Why not let cameras come along?’” she told Us in June. “I mean, I filmed the entire show in two weeks, which is unheard of.”

Cavallari said the docuseries felt the most authentic.

“They just followed us. They let us do our thing. They never stepped in to tell us what to say, what to do,” she explained. “It was really enjoyable, but it was also really easy and the cameras really did feel like flies on the wall.”
