Kelly Stafford is keeping it real about what it’s like to juggle motherhood and football season.

On the Tuesday, September 23, episode of her “The Morning After” podcast, the 35-year-old wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford opened up about the “hell” of taking their four daughters to Philadelphia for the Rams’ matchup against the Eagles this past weekend.

The chaos started before they even reached the airport on Saturday, September 20, because Kelly and Matthew’s daughters, 8-year-old twins Chandler and Sawyer, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5  all had soccer games.

“We get to the airport and I have to shower all of them … a lot of hair when you have four girls,” Kelly explained, noting that the pre-flight alone was exhausting.

“It clogs the drains,” she continued. “It does all the bad stuff. And it takes a f*** ton of time.”

The stress didn’t stop once the family landed. Kelly said she had arranged for a car service, confirming “multiple times” that she’d need a larger vehicle to fit her five passengers and their bags. But when the car service arrived, the driver was ill-prepared.

“He goes, ‘Wait, are these all yours?’ I go, ‘Yes, they all have matching Rams stuff on, of course they’re mine,’” Kelly recalled. “And he’s like ‘Oh, I don’t have a big enough car.’ What? Not in a car service. That’s some s*** Uber says to you.”

Things only got worse when Kelly and her daughters finally got in the car.

“I tell the guy to go to Raising Cane’s,” Kelly said. “It’s five minutes away on my phone. All of a sudden, I look down, we’re 20 minutes away. And I’m like ‘Sir, where are we?’”

She continued, “I am a woman with four daughters in a car in a place where I don’t know. And I’m looking around going, where are we and why are we now 30 minutes away?”

Kelly explained she phoned her mom to stay on the line until they got safely back on track.

Despite the rough start, Kelly insisted she had a positive experience at Lincoln Financial Field. She even ran into former Eagles center Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, after the game.

“We got to say hello to them,” Kelly shared. “The whole experience was great. The ending sucked, but the whole experience, my girls loved it.”

As for Philadelphia’s notoriously rowdy fans, Kelly said they weren’t as bad as people think.

“I had no issues,” she reported. “And even when we were winning, I figured they would start talking smack. I will say there were [moments] when Matthew threw the pick on the first drive, we had some people kind of be like, ‘Yes!’ you know, kind of yelling at us about him. But that was it. And it was quick.”

While the Rams didn’t come away with a win — the Eagles won, 33-26, after blocking a field goal on the final play of the game — Kelly said her daughters were troopers through all the stress.

“I don’t give them enough credit,” she admitted.“They were fantastic this whole trip, even with the minor mishaps and mommy being stressed out.”

The Rams return to action Sunday, September 28, when they host the Indianapolis Colts, while the Eagles will travel to Tampa Bay on Sunday to face the Buccaneers.
