Julia Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, have been married for 23 years — and they still have the sweetest time together.
The Oscar winner, 57, recently cuddled up to Moder, 56, in the back of a water taxi in a sweet Instagram photo shared on Friday, August 29.
“Venice 🥰,” Roberts captioned her upload.
In the snap, Roberts could be seen laying on Moder’s lap, while he looked off into the horizon.
Several hours earlier, Roberts made a glamorous solo appearance at the Venice International Film Festival premiere of Luca Guadagnino’s new movie, After the Hunt. (Roberts stars alongside Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, Chloë Sevigny and Michael Stuhlbarg.)
“There’s a lot of old arguments that get rejuvenated in this movie in a way that does create conversation,” Roberts said of the film’s depiction of feminism during a press conference earlier this week. “The best part of your question is you talking about how you all came out of the theater talking about [the film], and that’s how we wanted it to feel — that everybody comes out with all these different feelings, emotions and points of views.”
She continued, “You realize what you believe in strongly and what your convictions are because we stir it all up for you. So, you’re welcome.”
After the Hunt is a psychological drama about a college professor (Roberts) who finds herself at a crossroads when a student (Edebiri) accuses a colleague (Garfield) of assault.
“It’s like dominoes of conflict, once one falls, then suddenly everywhere you turn, there’s some new piece of conflict and challenge,” Roberts teased of the film’s premise. “That’s what makes it worth getting up and going to work in the morning.”
Roberts balances her busy — and thriving — acting career with her life at home with Moder and their three children. (They share twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, both 20, and son Henry, 18.)
“When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job,” she said during an October 2022 broadcast of CBS Sunday Morning. “It isn’t rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy. It’s just never consumed me, being an actor. It is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true.”
She added at the time, “The life that I have built with my husband [and] the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them.”
Roberts and Moder have been together for more than two decades, tying the knot in July 2002 before expanding their family.
