Jon Gosselin cryptically revealed that he was recently blocked by an ex.

“Just found out, somebody did block me,” Gosselin, 48, announced via TikTok on Saturday, August 9, before clarifying: “It was my ex [who blocked me]. I can’t see anything! Not that I was looking or anything, but I find it very interesting.”

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star’s cryptic comments came days after his ex-wife Kate Gosselin confirmed that she’d joined TikTok. More than one fan theorized that Jon may have been slyly referring to being blocked via TikTok by Kate.

“I was trying to decide who to follow- I’m thinking Kate now. content seems to be better,” one viewer wrote, with Jon replying: “Bye, its all good.”

Kate recently confirmed to fans that she’d started an official TikTok after some questioned whether the account was legitimate.

“Hi guys. A lot of you are wondering if this is actually me and my account. I just [hopped on] really quick [to] let you know that this is actually my account,” Gosselin told fans. “I’m just waiting for TikTok to verify it. So, if you’re wondering, if you’re checking out, and I don’t blame you, because I do it too, know that it is my account.”

In a subsequent video, Kate clarified that her followers probably wouldn’t see much of her and Jon’s eight children in her vlogs.

“There’s going to be a lot of dogs on it and kids, but mostly dogs and me,” she joked. “I’m in my German Shepherd dog mom era. Is that how they say it? You know what I mean. Anyway, it’s me. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks.”

The Gosselins chronicled raising their eight children on the hit TLC docuseries Jon & Kate Plus 8, which ran in various incarnations from 2007 to 2017. (Jon and Kate share twins Mady and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, 21.)

Jon and Kat announced their divorce in 2009, with their show being rebranded as Kate Plus 8 the following year. Since the TLC series ended, Jon admitted that a rift developed with several of his children when he was made primary guardian of Hannah and Collin in 2018.

In November 2024, Jon shared the exciting news that he was engaged to his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo after three years together. He later promised to extend wedding invites to all of his children — even those he wasn’t currently in contact with.

“I would definitely do that,” Jon told Entertainment Tonight in December. “I would definitely send an invite to all of them. You know, they are my kids.”

He added, “It’d be nice for [Lebo] to meet my other kids. I just kind of support the kids that are integrated into the family. If other ones wake up and realize what’s going on, the door’s always open here.”

As for where Jon and Kate stand today, he confirmed to E! News in January 2025 that the former couple have no contact with each other.

“We don’t communicate,” Jon said. “I think the last time I heard her voice in person was, like, 2018.”

Jon & Kate Plus 8 fans can watch old episodes via Prime Video and HBO Max anytime.
