The city that never sleeps is holding its breath as a mayoral election — just two weeks away, on Nov. 4 — could put New York City on a completely new trajectory.
The idea that America’s largest city could be led by democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani has captured the nation’s attention, with everyone from President Trump to Bill Ackman to Emily Ratajkowski chiming in.
Thursday night will be the first debate with the winnowed field of three candidates: Democratic nominee Mamdani, Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa and independent Andrew Cuomo, the former governor of New York.
Following the debate, sign on at 9 p.m. to NYPost.com, where my fellow Post columnist Rikki Schlott and I will join 2Way’s Mark Halperin, Meghan McCain and Dan Turrentine to analyze every moment. Look for appearances by Fox’s Charlie Gasparino and other special guests, including Post reporters who have been on the campaign trail for months.
Thanks to 2WAY’s unique community participation via live interaction, we’ll also be taking questions in real time — about the debate, the candidates and their platforms, and your hopes and fears for the best city in the world.
“This is a pivotal moment for New York City politics and we’re honored to be a part of it with the New York Post,” says Halperin. “Beyond offering immediate takeaways, our goal is to give viewers a platform to share their own thoughts and reactions.”
Tune in, too, for real-time data about voters’ reaction and where the prediction markets stand.
The debate airs from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, on NBC 4 and Telemundo 47.
Don’t just doom scroll or drown your sorrows afterward — grab a drink and join us!
