Don’t let the rain rain on your good time.

In collaboration with WeatherPromise and the Jamaica Tourism Board, JetBlue Vacations announced the “Great Weather Guarantee,” offering travelers with Jamaica Flight + Hotel packages a payout of $500 if it rains more than promised during their trip.

According to JetBlue Vacations, this launch makes them the first in the industry to integrate a destination-based weather guarantee directly into a vacation package.

This comes after JetBlue Vacations was the first airline vacation brand to partner with WeatherPromise in 2025 when they introduced rain protection for Flight + Hotel packages.

From March 1 to May 31, 2026, eligible Jamaica Flight + Hotel packages will automatically include the Great Weather Guarantee built directly into the booking.

After booking through JetBlue Vacations, travelers will get a personalized dashboard that outlines their coverage details and what conditions would qualify for a payout through WeatherPromise.

“WeatherPromise is designed to give customers greater confidence to travel and experience new places,” Daniel Price, Co-Founder of WeatherPromise, said. “This collaboration allows us to bring that sense of reassurance to even more people as they visit one of the Caribbean’s truly iconic destinations.”

The weather conditions of the trip will continuously be monitored using advanced data analytics, satellite imagery and radar technology, according to JetBlue.

If the rainfall exceeds the threshold set for the trip, the customer will receive $500.

Customers will be notified if the conditions are met and can select how they’d like to receive their payout.

“JetBlue Vacations has always focused on removing friction from the travel experience,” Jamie Perry, President at Paisly, the company that powers JetBlue Vacations, said in a statement.

“Customers can book knowing that if the weather doesn’t meet expectations, they’re covered.”

Jetsetters qualify for the payout if the booking is from three to 16 nights long and was made between March 1 and May 31, 2026, with travel dates from now through December 1, 2026, for flights in and out of Montego Bay and Kingston. Travel must begin at least seven days after booking to qualify.

Jamaica continues to be one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean, and though brief showers are common in the region, the new guarantee gives visitors “added confidence” when planning their tropical vacation.

“Jamaica is a destination of rich culture and warm hospitality,” Minister of Tourism of Jamaica Edmund Bartlett said in a statement. “The Great Weather Guarantee allows travelers to fully embrace everything our island has to offer with added confidence.”

Bartlett added that the new initiative will “help visitors create unforgettable memories across Jamaica’s unique landscapes and vibrant communities.”
