Jennifer Lawrence has a controversial take on The Summer I Turned Pretty’s Team Conrad vs. Team Jeremiah debate — and she isn’t afraid to share it.

“I have been ordered by all of my friends to not reveal this,” the Oscar winner prefaced her hot take on the hit Prime Video teen drama in a social media video shared by streaming service and film distributor MUBI on Monday, September 29.

“I’m Team Jeremiah. I am,” she confessed, turning to her Die, My Love costar Robert Pattinson, who seemed to be less in the know about Cousins Beach’s most famous love triangle.

Lawrence, 35, went on to share her spicy opinion on the show’s third and final season in which Belly (Lola Tung) eventually ended up with Conrad (Christopher Briney), but not before first getting engaged to his brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).

“I think that Conrad is toxic,” said the TSITP superfan. “Like, he kind of liked her, but then he didn’t, and he left her hanging.”

She continued, “And then for him to confess his love to her the night before her wedding is sick.”

The Hunger Games star is well aware that hers is not a popular opinion, but she’s sticking by it.

“I’m Team Jeremiah. Rake me over the coals,” she said defiantly.

Meanwhile, Pattinson, who found himself in a similar situation — Team Edward vs. Team Jacob — when he starred in the Twilight franchise, admitted he wasn’t clued-up on the summer everyone watched TSITP. “I keep intending to watch the show,” he said.

While Lawrence is best known for her roles in Silver Linings Playbook, The Hunger Games and Don’t Look Up, the actress is also a notorious television enthusiast. In fact, just like Us, she’s an avid watcher of the Real Housewives franchise.

In January 2024, Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight that her favorite city in the franchise is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I’m always partial to Beverly Hills,” she said, before complimenting the Real Housewives of New York City reboot. “I’m relieved by the New York crew, I was nervous, I think they’re going to round out nicely. Everybody seems to have the right personality disorder we like to see,” she joked.

Lawrence also heaped praise on the climactic finale to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4, which saw the cast infamously confront Monica Garcia about her involvement with the Reality Von Tease Instagram troll account.

“I mean, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, I just want to give a shout-out to the best finale I’ve ever seen on reality TV,” she gushed, giving props to Heather Gay’s now-iconic “receipts, proof timeline” remark from the season 4 finale.
