This man had a missed connection.
A man’s “wild” flirty flight has him “still trying to process” what happened weeks later.
On the Reddit page TwoHotTakes, the 31-year-old man claims that he boarded in Group B5, which gave him a good selection of seats — some airlines use a open-seating system where passengers select a boarding group and board in a specific order to pick their seat.
The man chose a seat in the emergency row with two seats and plenty of space.
As boarding wrapped up, a “gorgeous woman” asked to sit next to him. He agreed, not thinking much of it — until their conversation took a turn.
“This woman was super flirty, had no wedding ring and from what I could see, looked like she was alone when boarding,” he noted. “I assumed she was single.”
The two began chatting about their plans. She said she was heading to Los Angeles to visit friends, while he was on a work trip. Things escalated quickly.
“At one point she got super handsy and even ended up placing her leg over mine and moved the armrest between us to get closer,” the man recalled.
They exchanged numbers, discovered they were staying at the same hotel, and made plans to meet up for drinks that evening.
“I had a feeling things were going to get spicy,” the man admitted.
But after what seemed like the perfect in-flight connection, things took a sudden turn.
“When we landed, this woman quickly unbuckled her seatbelt said her goodbyes and made sure that she was one of the first people off the plane which I thought was odd,” he said.
But moments later, his hopes for a flight fling crashed.
“After I walked down the ramp, to my surprise I saw her, except this time she had a wedding ring on her finger and was holding hands with a man as they were walking to get their bags,” the man said.
It wasn’t just a sexy flight — it was a scandal. The woman, it turns out, wasn’t traveling alone at all. Her husband had been on the same flight.
Later that night, the man texted her to see if their plans were still on — and brought up the awkward airport run-in, but she “brushed it off.”
“I ended up grabbing the drink that night and again to my surprise, her and this same man ended up sitting at the bar directly across from me,” he shared.
Though she didn’t say a word, she continued to make “flirty eye contact” with him from across the way.
“It was like some kind of twisted game,” he recounted. The man says he’s still trying to make sense of what happened.
“Wild stuff,” the confused man said of his wild ride.
But many Reddit commenters seemed to have a few ideas of why this married woman seemed ready to take-off with a man who wasn’t her husband.
Most people believed the woman was using the in-flight flirtation as foreplay.
“Her just acting out the first half of the fantasy with a stranger and hooking up with her husband later. Hey at least she’ll be thinking about you,” the top comment reads.
“Could also be something he agrees with,” another said, with a third chiming in “Lots of different kinds of relationships and marriages. It isn’t wrong of you to avoid it if you got weird vibes but also not wrong if you went through with it. You might’ve missed out on a lot of fun!”
But the situation didn’t seem to fly with the man.
