A hip Brooklyn venue popular with TikTokers was sprayed with graffiti last week when a promoter claimed it canceled his New York Fashion Week bash there for “racist” reasons.

But the event space fired back that it was forced to yank the fest — because of slower-than-molasses ticket sales.

The race-tinged tussle erupted on social media when event promoter NOAHH claimed the Market Hotel in hipster Bushwick put the kibosh on his Fashion Week-tied “In Tha Fest” just hours before the party because it didn’t want “ignorant black people” in its space.

The underground event was set to headline black rappers Percaso and EA TJ.

“Market Hotel just called me and said they had a show last night with ‘ignorant Black people’ and don’t want anymore there for the time being,” wrote NOAHH, who is white, on Instagram on Monday.

“Never dealt with such racism.”

He then quickly moved the event to the nearby Hellow Meadow venue — but the discrimination allegations ignited anger throughout the music scene and inspired several hooligans to seek vengeance on the Market Hotel.

Three goons dressed in black spray-painted the outside of the dance spot — made popular on social media for its second-story dance floor that faces the Myrtle-Broadway Station platform — with the words “racist” and “f–k you,” according to security footage.

But the Market Hotel vehemently denied the promoter’s racial claims, saying “In Tha Fest” was rebuffed because it only hawked 40 tickets for the 500-person-capacity venue.

“Our general manager, who is a Black man, had a straightforward conversation with the promoter about the reality of the show: he hadn’t sold enough tickets to justify the cost of putting the event in such a large room, and moving it somewhere with lower overhead simply made more financial sense for everyone involved,” the venue said in a statement.

“At no point was race part of that conversation … Calling someone racist is a serious accusation and it shouldn’t be thrown around simply because you’re unhappy with a business decision.”

The manager, Maleek Brown, also personally called the discrimination allegations “crazy,” and revealed he was the one who cleaned up the graffiti calling him a racist.

NOAHH circled back to apologize for setting off the vandals but still doubled down on his claims that Brown made the racist statements — and that the day-of shutdown was the second time the Market Hotel canceled on him.

The venue tried to cancel a show back in August over low ticket sales but agreed to move forward after doubling the venue rental price, NOAHH claimed in a video posted to Instagram.

“I know what I heard on that phone call,” he wrote on X, referring to the conversation he had with Brown, while saying the situation had dissolved into a “he say she say” situation.

“I did not know [Brown] or the color of his skin, all I heard was a voice & judged the person on the other side of the phone based on their words not their race”

Both NOAHH and the Market Hotel referred The Post to their social-media posts when reached for comment.
