Hailey Bieber appears to be sending mixed signals about the state of her marriage.
Days after she was photographed not wearing her wedding ring, Hailey reposted a video from her beauty brand Rhode via Instagram on Sunday, June 22, that very clearly showed her wearing her ring, which was prominently displayed.
Hailey, 28, was photographed ringless several times while in New York City with friends Camila Morrone and Suki Waterhouse on Friday, June 20. Hailey appeared to intentionally hold her left hand in front of her, making it easy to photograph.
Hailey has not commented on her husband Justin Bieber’s recent ups and downs, nor has she made any public comment regarding the state of the couple’s marriage. Justin, 31, has posted a series of strange and cryptic messages on Instagram in recent weeks, including a June 8 post about transactional relationships. The singer, 31, shared two black and white photos of himself on Instagram and wrote, “Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved That’s not love.” The singer did not elaborate on or explain exactly what relationship he was referring to.
A source close to the couple exclusively told Us Weekly Justin has struggled with a lack of identity. “Justin has felt lost recently,” the source said. “His friend group around him has shifted, and he is going through a lot of changes.”
The insider added, “Navigating fatherhood, trying to put out music [and] past traumas surfacing has been a lot for him.”
Justin has also weathered professional setbacks of late. The singer parted ways with his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, in 2023, and more recently had a falling out with his childhood friend and former business partner Ryan Good.
Justin announced on Instagram in April that he was “no longer involved” in Drew House, the clothing brand he cofounded with Good in 2018. One month later, sources told TMZ that Good, 41, fears Justin’s church, Churchome, is a cult, which lead pastor Judah Smith quickly denied.
“People close to him worry he may be hanging out with the wrong people,” the insider also told Us. “He has cut a lot of friends out of his life and has a hard time trusting others at this point when it comes to his music and business affairs.”
In January, a second source told Us the birth of the pair’s son had brought Hailey and Justin closer together. “There has been a total shift in their marriage since renewing their vows [in May 2024] and welcoming baby Jack,” the source said. “He’s truly brought them so much happiness and a renewed bond.”
The source added that Justin is a “really good dad.” For Hailey, 28, the insider said that the Rhode founder’s “main priority is being a mom right now.”
