Dough for dough.

As the war in Iran continues to fuel gas prices across the US, pizza chain Papa John’s is serving up a slice of relief.

On April 2, the company launched “Pizza Miles,” a rewards program that allows customers to earn rewards when they choose carryout, which can then be applied to future orders.

The goal of the “Pizza Miles” initiative, which runs through this weekend, is to help offset the gas costs of carryout customers.

“If you’re choosing carryout, we’re choosing to reward you for it,” Lyndsie Adams, vice president of customer marketing and media at Papa John’s, said in a news release. “Pizza Miles gives our most loyal Papa Rewards members real value back in Papa Dough, simply for picking up the pizza they already love.”

Customers already enrolled in the pizza retailer’s Papa Rewards program can join “Pizza Miles” from Friday, April 3, through Sunday, April 5.

Fans of the brand can join the rewards program for free and typically earn $1 in Papa Dough, the brand’s reward currency, for every $10 spent.

After opting in to the newly launched “Pizza Miles,” customers will receive $4 in Papa Dough redeemable on orders of $10 or more placed through the company’s app or website.

“Papa Dough is valid for 14 days and can be redeemed on future orders through the Papa John’s app − giving fans an easy way to turn today’s drive into tomorrow’s value,” the news release states.

Gas prices at fuel stations across the US have risen steadily since Operation Epic Fury got underway on Feb. 28.

Gas prices are currently averaging $4.09 nationally, according to the latest data from the American Automobile Association, up from $2.98 one month ago.

There continues to be disparity across the nation, with gas prices in Texas hovering around $ 3.68 per gallon.

In California, where gas is nearing $5.89 per gallon one remote town is charging nearly $10 per gallon, turning a routine pit stop into a wallet-draining experience.

Oil prices have been hovering around $100 a barrel in the futures markets since President Trump announced a massive attack on Kharg Island, a critical Iranian oil hub, where some 90% of its crude exports flow through.

Some Iranian officials have warned that oil prices could broach $200 a barrel as the theocratic regime leverages its ability to wreak havoc in the critical chokepoint of the Strait of Hormuz, where about a fifth of the world’s seaborne oil traverses annually.

Earlier this month, President Trump wrote on Truth Social that short-term oil prices would “drop rapidly” once “the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over.”

In the meantime, food courier service DoorDash has launched a gas inspired relief program for delivery drivers, AKA Dashers.

The new program offers 10% cash back on gas purchases for DoorDash Dashers.

In addition, the company is offering eligible Dashers who drive 125 miles or more while actively on deliveries a weekly fuel relief payment.

It starts at $5 and can go up to $15 per week, based on miles driven.

“Rising gas prices have a real impact on Dashers, especially those who are delivering the most,” said Cody Aughney, Vice President, Dasher and Logistics at DoorDash. “This program is about giving Dashers real savings at the pump.”

According to DoorDash, qualifying Dashers can save between $1.40 and $1.90 per gallon.
