This gives new meaning to revolving-door justice.

The monster accused of fatally beating Lovay Williams in front of her 7-year-old daughter earlier this month tried to turn himself in at a Washington Heights NYPD stationhouse, but was shown the exit instead, The Post has learned.

Tiliek Shamel Thompson and his two sisters went to the 33rd Precinct station around 5 a.m. on Sept. 11, but officers dropped the ball, the NYPD acknowledged.

“His two sisters said, ‘You’re looking for him,’” lawyer Neville Onielle Dexter Mitchell said, explaining that the sisters told cops they were there about Williams’ death.

The cop who was at the desk said, “I just came back from vacation. Nobody’s here,” according to Mitchell.

But an NYPD spokeswoman who reviewed audio and video of the encounter disputed that narrative and said the family didn’t tell the police officer that cops were looking for Thompson.

The cop misunderstood and thought the three were members of the murder victim’s family, the spokeswoman said, adding that the officer passed that information onto his sergeant.

The cop mentioned his vacation to explain that he was away when Williams was murdered, the spokeswoman said.

The cop then gave one of the sisters a phone number for squad detectives and sent the group on its way.

Thompson, who police sources said was listed as a “person of interest” in the killing, went back and successfully turned himself in to police on Saturday night.

He was charged with murder.

Williams, 27, was found dead in her apartment on 156th Street on Sept. 6 with trauma to her face and neck. She was declared dead at the scene.

Her 7-year-old daughter was found unharmed in the apartment, the family confirmed. Relatives told The Post that Williams and Thompson had been dating.

Current and former police officers were disgusted that an accused murderer was permitted to walk out of the precinct.

“If he went there and said he was there to turn himself in, they should have investigated,” said a senior police officer, who asked to remain anonymous because he wasn’t allowed to talk to the media.

“I’d say you should hold the guy and investigate further,” the officer said. “Even if detectives aren’t there, you can call them. I’m sure they’d love to take a homicide collar.”

Former NYPD Detective Michael Alcazar said, “Even if detectives weren’t there, they should have notified nightwatch.”

Nightwatch is the detectives squad during the midnight-to-8 a.m. shift.

Alcazar said the suspect should have been detained in a cell at the precinct.

“You got a homicide suspect turning himself in so you detain him until the squad gets there,” he said. “I’m not surprised if they turned him away. We’re scraping the bottom of the barrel.”

The NYPD hired 4,056 new police officers in 2025, which was the largest number of new NYPD cops ever hired in a year.

The department had previously struggled to hire candidates and adjusted its standards to increase its numbers — such as reducing the required college credits from 60 to 24.

Alcazar predicted that there will be discipline.

“Oh boy, that’s a big one,” he said of the faux pas.

“So I’ll tell you right now, the supervisor is gonna get jammed up,” he said. “In fact, the commanding officer is gonna get jammed up, because it’s his command.”
