The Philadelphia Eagles have officially been crowned 2025 Super Bowl champions.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the Eagles to a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. While the winning team had some fun on the field following the game, there is still a major celebration waiting for them back in Philadelphia.
Every year after the Super Bowl, the winning team gears up for a day-long party as they are shuttled on buses throughout their respective city for the Championship Parade.
Last year’s parade in Kansas City (the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Super Bowl 2024) ended in tragedy when shooters opened fire, murdering one fan and injuring 23 others.
Prior to Sunday’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs announced that, if they were to win the Big Game, they would forgo a rally this year, opting for a smaller parade and celebration following last year’s tragedy. Philadelphia, however, still plans to go forward with their post-Super Bowl celebrations after taking home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
