With so much amazing TV out there, it’s hard to know if you’ve seen all the shows you need to see. (Spoiler alert — you haven’t. Some things always fall through the cracks.) How are you to know which underrated shows you’re missing?
Since there’s too much TV to keep track of, Watch With Us is recommending three great series that may have slipped through the cracks. If you haven’t seen them, check them out on Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.
‘Dying For Sex’ (2025)
Based on the real life of Molly Kochan and the podcast created by her best friend, Dying For Sex depicts a woman who learns she has terminal cancer. Fed up with being seen only as a patient for her husband (Jay Duplass), Molly (Michelle Williams) embraces her desires in the last year of her life, seeking out new sexual partners and experiences. Her best friend Nikki (Jenny Slate) takes over as her main caretaker, and their friendship becomes the beating heart of the show.
Dying For Sex is one of the frankest and honest depictions of love, sex and death we’ve ever seen. The performances by Williams and Slate, as well as Rob Delaney as a neighbor with whom Molly starts a BDSM relationship, manage to be both outrageously funny and heartbreakingly grounded. Don’t miss this limited series, but don’t forget to have a box of tissues on hand while you watch.

‘Mozart in the Jungle’ (2014-2018)
Who knew the world of classical music could be so scandalous? This Amazon Prime Video series follows the New York Symphony Orchestra, which is thrown into chaos when their conductor, Thomas Pembridge (Malcolm McDowell,) retires and is replaced by classical music “bad boy” Rodrigo De Souza (Gael García Bernal).
Meanwhile, oboist Hailey Rutledge (Lola Kirke) is dying to play in the orchestra, but instead becomes Rodrigo’s assistant. She learns about the way he sees the world and comes to appreciate the music — and Rodrigo — in a whole new way. Mozart is a fun, sexy and beautiful tribute to the way music touches lives.

‘The Brothers Sun’ (2024)
This Netflix series stars Michelle Yeoh as a woman with a very dark past who is a mom to two different boys. The younger son, Bruce (Sam Song Li), is a California college student harboring a secret passion for improv. The elder, Charles (Justin Chien), is a hardened gangster who is second in command to a criminal empire in Taipei. When someone attempts to assassinate their gangster father, Big Sun (Johnny Kou), Charles comes to California to protect his family, leading Bruce down a rabbit hole of crime and conspiracy he never knew existed.
The Brothers Sun combines thrilling action with humor and a surprisingly sweet family story. Yeoh is as magnetic as ever, and the rest of the ensemble cast feels layered and lived-in. Though The Brothers Sun was cancelled after just one season, the finale is satisfying and won’t leave you feeling disappointed. It’s a fun, under-appreciated gem, and one worth watching as May ends.
