Sounds like someone needs to switch to decaf.
A disturbing confrontation that unfolded in an Upper West Side park left the owner of a canine influencer drenched in lukewarm coffee.
The Oct. 18 encounter inside Riverside Park near 68th Street was filmed by Rimma, 27, whose dog, Milo, has nearly 50,000 Instagram followers, and involved a “deranged” woman she’s never seen before, and hasn’t seen since.
“My inner demons were burning,” said Rimma, who asked The Post to withhold her last name, of the jarring encounter. “I decided to ignore her, because I know I have something to lose. . . . She was clearly not in her right mind.”
Rimma told The Post she was sitting in the grass with Milo when the coffee-chucking woman approached her with questions about the way she was sitting.
‘”Why are you sitting like that? Do you need to use the restroom?’’” the woman asked Rimma repeatedly. “There’s no way a normal person asks that.”
Rimma said when she would not react to the ranting woman, the lady turned her attention towards Milo.
“She started talking to my dog, saying, ‘Yeah, she’s lazy,’ referring to the fact that I was sitting on the grass,” explained Rimma, who moved to the Upper West Side in July. “My dog got up, and started barking at her for a few minutes, and she’s not really a barker.”
Noting the dog was clearly uncomfortable, Rimma asked the woman to leave, and eventually, the unknown lady did.
“I had no idea she would come back, but she did — and this time, she grabbed her coffee and threw it on me before running away,” said Rimma. “It blew my mind. Her goal was the bother me, provoke me.”
Rimma said she reported the incident to the NYPD, but that they told her they likely wouldn’t be investigating the harassment.
She shared the footage on social media, in hopes someone might recognize her attacker.
“Maybe I will see her again,” said Rimma. “If I do, I promise you I won’t be ignoring her.”
