A North Carolina mother and daughter came face to face for the first time in more than two decades in an emotional reunion 24 years after the mom vanished to start a new life.
Michele Lyn Hundley Smith was spotted tearfully embracing her daughter, Amanda, outside the Rockingham County Courthouse Thursday morning.
The mom, now 62, bizarrely resurfaced late last month after local authorities managed to track her down on a decades-old DWI warrant.
The daughter showed up at court to support her mother as she answered to the charge.
Smith disappeared without a trace back in 2001, abandoning her 19, 14, and 8 year-old-kids just before Christmas.
