The nut who tried to snatch the toddler son of a cop outside a Brooklyn McDonald’s had urged him to “come with Mama” — and previously slugged a bus passenger while spewing hate, prosecutors said Sunday.
Chrissy Payne, 47, was arraigned on attempted-kidnapping and endangering-welfare charges in Brooklyn Criminal Court for trying to abduct the 4-year-old boy Sept. 14 — and also over felony hate-crime assault raps for attacking a woman on a city bus last month, the DA’s office said.
“It is alleged that on Aug. 19th the defendant said to the complaining witness, ‘I don’t want to sit next to no white B-word,’ then hit the complaining witness in the face with a closed fist,” Assistant District Attorney Che Aroyewun said in court.
Those charges were still pending with Payne allegedly grabbed the youngster in Brooklyn while he was sitting on a bench with his 66-year-old grandma outside the Crown Heights fast-food joint.
Payne said “in sum and substance, ‘Come with Mama, that’s my son,’ ” before “grabbing onto the 4-year-old baby’s arm and pulling it,’’ Aroyewun said.
She was stopped by the boy’s mom, off-duty NYPD cop Anyia James Roberts, authorities said.
Roberts, who is seven months pregnant, grabbed her son, forcing the would-be kidnapper to flee.
Payne was picked up and charged with the attempted kidnapping five days later.
Judge Emily Ruben on Sunday ordered Payne held on $50,000 cash bail or a $100,000 bond, which her lawyer said was tantamount to being remanded, given her financial situation.
Records show that Payne has four other open cases dating to April, including for petty larceny, assault and an earlier hate crime assault in July.
On Sunday, she tried several times to interrupt the arraignment and at one point tried to defend her actions in the city bus attack in August.
“Number one, I only had a court date. I didn’t have no convictions,” she told the judge. “Second, of all, I didn’t just hit somebody. She did something to me, too.”
