This public sex session didn’t go swimmingly.
A shameless man caught having sex at a popular family swimming spot reportedly emerged from the water and ordered onlookers turn over cellphones containing footage of his brazen broad daylight romp.
The incident occurred at the Ian Dipple Lagoon on Australia’s Gold Coast earlier this week, with the perp and his partner pictured getting it on in the shallows at around 1.30 p.m.
The lagoon is a popular spot for feeding pelicans and is frequented by families and tourists alike.
“We were in disbelief,” one witness wrote on Facebook, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin. “The couple was engaging in these sexual acts fully knowing there were onlookers, many of whom were families with young children.”
Shockingly, the lagoon lovemaker got out of the water and approached the group, asking for money and becoming verbally abusive.
“He demanded we instantly hand him our phones or give payment for having watched his so-called performance,” the person claimed, recounting the horrifying experience.
“He continued to state he doesn’t perform for free and people pay him for what we just witnessed.”
They told the man the recording they captured would be turned over to the police before they ran to a nearby hotel for safety.
Public sex is illegal on Australia’s Gold Coast and may result in fines or imprisonment.
The eyewitness said they shared the experience online to warn people thinking of visiting the lagoon because they “got the impression he [the man] is a regular.”
It’s not the first time the family-friendly spot has made headlines in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, a woman’s body was found floating in the lagoon. Police have said it was an unsuspicious death and is not related to the alleged sexual acts.
The romp isn’t the only case of public sex to hit headlines.
Closer to home, a couple brazenly appeared to get it on in Manhattan’s Battery Park last spring.
Frisky footage of that incident sparked outrage, with people calling for the perverted pair to be slapped with charges of public indecency.
