Christina Haack is on such friendly terms with ex-husband Ant Anstead that she’s willing to assist on his next renovation project.
Haack, 41, took to Instagram on Monday, March 31, to comment on a video of Anstead, 46, discussing an extravagant farmhouse renovation he plans to take on “for my parents to move into.”
When a fan referenced Haack, star of The Flip Off and other HGTV renovation shows, in the video’s comments, suggesting that she take on the farmhouse project, Anstead responded, “Well … after the Flip Off … she owes me one!!!! X” to which Haack replied, “I’m down 😂.” (Anstead appeared as a guest judge in season one of The Flip Off, which also stars Haack’s other ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather El Moussa.)
Haack and Anstead, who were married from December 2018 to June 2021, have evidently overcome a rocky divorce to coparent their five-year-old son, Hudson. In addition to Anstead’s appearance on The Flip Off, he recently shared a photo of himself and Haack cuddling up to Hudson at the child’s school. “Our little gentleman CRUSHED his school performance this morning,” Anstead wrote on March 11. “He’s thriving.”
Haack commented on the post, “Sweetest boy.”
Haack, who is currently dating businessman Christopher Larocca after filing for divorce from former husband Joshua Hall in July 2024, spoke candidly about her split from Anstead during the February 19 episode of The Flip Off. “Ant and I split up when Hudson was 1 and now he is 5. Between the time of his first birthday and fifth, we did not communicate a lot,” she said.
The TV personality added that her relationship with Anstead, who is dating Renee Zellweger, improved as a result of her split from Hall, 44.
“After Josh and I split up, I went over to his [Anstead’s] house to pick up Hudson and he gave me a huge hug. We hadn’t hugged in years and he said, ‘I am so sorry for everything you are going through and I am here for you no matter what you need,’” Haack said on the show. “It was a very nice moment and we had a very long talk after. We decided to put all the BS aside and be good coparents.”
Anstead shared the sentiment while appearing in The Flip Off, telling Haack during his cameo, “You and I will be connected forever because we have a child so ultimately I have to stand by the mother of my kid.”
Haack’s relationship with Hall remains strained, with Haack claiming during the March 13 episode of Christina on the Coast that her children are thriving without Hall in their lives. (Haack is also mother to daughter, Taylor, 14, and son, Brayden, 9, with whom she shares with Tarek, 43.)
“The house is so much better, the kids are so happy. Like, everyone in this household is thriving and the kids truly are doing great,” Haack told friend Cassie Schienle while describing life without Hall.
