Charlie Kirk’s assassin was of “college-age” and blended in with students before making his way to the roof and using a high-powered bolt-action rifle to carry out the killing, authorities said Thursday morning.

The shooter arrived on campus at 11:52 a.m. on Wednesday, just under half an hour before firing the single shot that killed the conservative influencer at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University, Beau Mason from the Utah Department of Public Safety said at an early morning press conference.

Authorities have footage of the suspected gunman, but said they will not release it yet.

The sniper’s weapon was recovered from a wooded area close to the campus, said the FBI’s Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls, adding that the Bureau had received more than 130 tips so far related to the shooting.
