Dancing With the Stars fans were shocked to see Brandon Armstrong and Lauren Jauregui sent home on TikTok Night — and so was his wife, Brylee Armstrong.

Shortly after the results were announced on the Tuesday, September 30, episode of the ballroom dance competition, Brylee shared her reaction in a “get unready with me” video alongside her husband.

“So that sucked,” she said in the clip, turning to Brandon, 31, who added, “You won’t see me begging for votes no more.”

Brylee went on to admit that the elimination was “a little bit shocking,” but she also pointed out that the competition is stronger than ever. “There has truly not ever been a season like this where every single celebrity is good and popular,” she explained, noting that each contestant brought in their own devoted fan base.

While her husband being sent home came as a big surprise, Brylee hinted there’s likely more where that came from. “I think that this season there will be many shocking eliminations,” she said.

Brandon and the Fifth Harmony singer, 29, performed a cha-cha to the girl group’s viral hit “Work From Home” on Tuesday, incorporating some choreography from the original music video in their routine. The audience was on their feet after the performance, but the pair only received 18 out of 30 points from the judges, who encouraged Jauregui to be more sharp with her movement.

When their names were read as the couple going home, the ballroom went quiet. Jauregui summed up her feelings about the elimination in one simple word, telling cohosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough she was “pissed.”

During her social media debrief, Brylee reminded viewers that the cha-cha is a “very hard” style to nail. “Do I think that there was room for improvement? Yes,” she added. “I think that there is room for improvement for every single person on the show.”

Brylee added that she wasn’t there to criticize the judges for their feedback, saying she felt “grateful” to be part of Brandon’s journey on the show. She went on to share some insight into what happens next for pros who are eliminated early in the season.

“Don’t worry, guys, just because he’s eliminated doesn’t mean he’s out of a job,” she told followers. “He basically is like a troupe member, so he’ll still be in the background of other people’s dances. [He’s] still on the payroll. … We will fully be supporting all of our friends who are still in the competition.”

While she’s sad her husband is no longer in the running for the mirrorball trophy, Brylee said she’s “most disappointed” for Jauregui. “This was an opportunity to do something for herself apart from Fifth Harmony and to really come into her own, and for it to get cut short is just really disappointing,” she continued. “She’s like family to us now, we absolutely love her.”

Jauregui had the support of her fellow Fifth Harmony bandmates in the ballroom on Tuesday night, with Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane and Normani cheering from the audience.

“They’re the best, honestly,” Jauregui gushed after her performance, giving the girls a shout-out from the sky box.

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
