The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville is addressing the fans — and fellow Housewives — who have donated to her GoFundMe campaign as she continues to navigate numerous health issues.
“I’m honestly overwhelmed by all the love and support,” Brandi, 53, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 12. “Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared my GoFundMe, checked on me, prayed for me or sent me love.”
Brandi revealed earlier this week on her “Unfiltered” podcast that a friend had recently launched an online fundraiser to cover the Bravo alum’s mounting medical bills. (Brandi has been navigating a once-mysterious health condition causing facial disfigurement for more than two years, spending more than $113,000 on various treatment protocols to mixed results.)
“Asking for help isn’t easy for me, but knowing I have so many people in my corner means more than I can ever explain,” she admitted on Saturday. “I still have a long road ahead, but you’re helping me keep fighting.”
Brandi concluded, “From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. I love you guys.”
The GoFundMe has raised more than $15,000 at the time of publication thanks to donations from fans and Bravo stars alike, including Kyle Richards and Vicki Gunvalson.
“As I donated to Jeana Keough, I did for Brandi,” Vicki, 64, told Us in an exclusive statement on Saturday, referring to her former Real Housewives of Orange County costar’s ongoing tongue cancer battle. “It breaks my heart that both of them who have been used to working to provide for themselves, are not able to at this time. I wish Brandi continued healing.”
Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Claudia Jordan also contributed to Brandi’s fundraiser.
“I actually donate to a lot of GoFundMes all the time. People I know and people I don’t know,” Claudia, 53, told Us in a separate statement shared via her rep, Chris Giovanni. “Sometimes I make it anonymously, sometimes I let my name appear.”
She continued, “I feel so bad for her and I can’t imagine how helpless she may be feeling. Times are tough for a lot of people and I am sure it was difficult for her to put herself out there like this — knowing she would get a lot of criticism but I admire her bravery and hope she can get all the help she needs!”
As for Brandi, she initially felt “embarrassed” that the GoFundMe was launched in the first place.
“Right now, I paid half [of my latest bill[ and I still owe them. I’m just, like, I’m spent,” she tearfully said on the Friday, September 11, episode of her podcast. “I don’t want anyone to see it, but I don’t know what to do. … I feel like a loser. I feel like I definitely hit rock bottom, and I’m embarrassed. I just never thought I would do this.”
