Bianca Censori came to husband Kanye West‘s defense after about his alleged absence from their kids’ lives.

“He’s a really awesome dad,” Censori, 31, said about West, 48, in a rare interview with Vanity Fair published Friday, February 6, adding that the rapper will “build worlds” for his children.

West shares North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6, with Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce in 2021 after seven years of marriage.

According to Censori, any discussion of West not seeing his children for six months is not accurate. She told Vanity Fair that West left her photo shoot to spend time with the kids at home.

“I remember one time they came over and he made the whole room foam so they could jump on everything,” she recalled while praising her husband’s parenting. “It’s really cute, especially if you’re a little kid — a tiny, short little bub.”

Kardashian previously addressed the misconceptions about her coparenting relationship with West.

“I feel more stressed probably just because I have to protect my kids. Everyone around can handle [the drama], but I want to protect my babies. They are going to know things. They’re going to grow up and see,” she said on an October 2025 episode of The Kardashians. “So my job as a mom is to just make sure that at a time when that behavior is happening, is just to make sure that they are protected.”

Kardashian acknowledged that her children are getting to an age where they can see their father’s controversial behavior online, adding that she was “able to hide it for so long.” She also compared her relationship with West to having “Stockholm syndrome.”

“I always felt really bad and always wanted to help. This was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility personally,” she explained. “[People think] I should have stuck it out and I could have helped. As much as people think that I have the luxury of walking away and not dealing ever again, that’s not my reality. This person — we have four kids together.”

Kardashian went on to allege that West has “never once called and asked” to see their kids. “But then I’ll wake up and it’s on Twitter that I’m keeping the kids,” she said. “So when it’s not true and not rational, I can’t engage all the time.”

The reality star added that she and the kids ““haven’t left,” adding that West “knows where his kids are at.”

During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that same month, Kardashian revealed that it had been “a couple of months” since she and the children heard from West.

“An over a decade relationship with four beautiful children is not a failure,” she noted. “You can’t think that way. You can’t live that way. You can’t worry about what everyone’s going to say and I have to come home to myself and I have to be happy.”

West, meanwhile, recently opened up about the state of his mental health and his many controversies in the public eye, including antisemitic comments.

“When you’re manic, you really don’t think that you’re sick,” he told Vanity Fair in January. “You think that everyone else is deeply overreacting. You feel like you’re seeing the world so much more clearly on things, when in reality you’re losing your grip entirely.”
