Benny Blanco had an adorable first comment about his and new bride Selena Gomez’s star-studded wedding on Saturday, September 27.
The Only Murders in the Building actress, 33, confirmed via Instagram that the couple tied the knot on Saturday in Santa Barbara, California. A gorgeous carousel of wedding photos revealed Gomez’s sleeveless white dress and Blanco’s chic tuxedo.
Replying to Gomez’s post, the record producer, 37, declared: “My wife in real life.”
The newlyweds were congratulated by many of their famous friends, including singer Camila Cabello writing to the couple: “Love looks good on you.”
“So happy for the both of you. Congrats,” celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay added, with comedian Amy Schumer describing their wedding fashion as “breathtaking.”
“You are glowing! Congratulations, wishing you a lifetime of love, good health, and happiness,” Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran chimed in.
Us Weekly exclusively learned that Gomez and Blanco’s wedding festivities kicked off with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, September 26, prior to the ceremony the following day.
“It will be a huge, A-list, star-studded wedding planned by Mindy Weiss,” an insider told Us.
The source revealed that guests “still [did] not know exact locations for the rehearsal or the wedding” with 24 hours to go before the big day. Instead, Gomez and Blanco planned to send shuttles to pick up their family and friends and drop them off at the venue. (Vogue later reported that the wedding was held at Sea Crest Nursery.)
Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building costars Paul Rudd, Steve Martin and Martin Short were all present, though Meryl Streep was reportedly not able to attend the ceremony because she was at Milan Fashion Week 2025 the same day. Other notable guests expected to attend Saturday’s celebration were Gomez’s best friend Taylor Swift, Paris Hilton and Ashley Park.
Gomez and Blanco initially collaborated on various songs, including “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness,” several years before they got together romantically. After initially sparking dating rumors in December 2023, Gomez quickly clarified via Instagram that she’d actually been with Blanco for “six months.”
The Emilia Perez actress announced her engagement to Blanco in December 2024, writing via Instagram: “Forever begins now.”
Blanco and Gomez later opened up about their engagement during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in March 2025, with the record producer admitting that a last-minute change nearly ruined his proposal.
“She almost didn’t even come,” he told host Jimmy Fallon. “She was like, ‘I really don’t feel that well. I think I’m just going to stay home today. Can’t we just make up the shoot another day?’ And I was like, ‘Uhh …’ I’m trying to figure out a way to do [it].”
Looking back on that special day, Blanco said he had mixed emotions going into his proposal because of how hard he’d worked to keep it a secret.
“First of all, getting engaged to someone is the craziest thing in the world,” Blanco joked. “It’s like, right before you’re going to tell someone you’re going to be married to them forever. They’re like, ‘Show me how good you can lie to me.’ It’s the hardest… She was just upset with me because the day before, I was making bad lies.”
During a return visit to The Tonight Show in September, Gomez assured Fallon that wedding planning was “wonderful.”
“I’m very lucky,” she beamed. “It’s going well. I’m so excited.”
Prior to marrying Blanco, Gomez famously dated Nick Jonas in 2008. She later had an off-off relationship with Justin Bieber from 2010 to 2018 and was with The Weeknd in 2017.
