Below Deck‘s Fraser Olender hinted that he and Chef Anthony Iracane are not on good terms after filming season 12.

Fraser was asked about his costar on the Tuesday, August 19, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, to which he replied, “He’s a bit of a screw loose at the moment. I’m not necessarily returning [his] calls at the moment.”

When asked by host Nick Viall whether he would “press decline immediately” or let the call go through, Fraser confirmed he will “let everything run.”

“I’m not that bitch,” he quipped. “[But] listen, I brought him back this year. I had to beg production to allow that to even happen because you don’t bring back someone who is fired ever. It’s not a thing that happens on Below Deck.”

Fraser recalled vouching for Anthony after his season 11 exit.

“I had to beg the captain because he’s the one who fired him last year. I had to put my neck on the line because I knew that we really work well with each other,” the chief steward noted. “He came back and all he did was talk about how he can forgive and not forget. I thought, ‘For f***’s sake, if you have one chance just to be a little bit grateful.’”

He continued; “Let’s focus on the job and less on [me] and being obsessed with this. But no good deed goes unpunished.”

Anthony was the third crew member to leave St. David last season after Jared Woodin and Cat Baugh. After returning earlier this season, Anthony made it clear in his confessionals that he blamed Fraser for agreeing with Kerry about his declining work ethic.

“Coming back to the boat, I have a lot of different emotions inside of me,” the chef admitted in a July episode. “I love Fraser but I was feeling like maybe he betrayed me? I need to find the right moment to talk about my feelings and to put everything on the table.”

During Tuesday’s podcast appearance, Fraser said it has always been difficult for stews to work with chefs.

“I think across the board, all chefs have a screw loose. Genuinely, I’ve worked with enough to at least make that generalization,” he added. “I just know that with [Anthony] — whether he pretends to or not — he listens to what I say.”

Fraser continued: “I do have to hold his hand throughout the season but he’s a very good chef. With the right guidance on how things are running, we are a fantastic match, truly.”

Below Deck airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
