Alyson Hannigan and husband Alexis Denisof are proving they’re total Swifties with their Halloween costumes.

The How I Met Your Mother alum, 50, and Denisof, 58, paid homage to Taylor Swift‘s hit song “So High School” in photos posted via Instagram on Thursday, October 31. The song – which is featured on her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department – is rumored to be about boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“Swifties get me,” Hannigan captioned the snaps, which featured her dressed as a football and Denisof dressed as Aristotle. The clever costumes reference the lyrics, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.”

While fans went wild for the couple’s costume in the comments section of the post, many admitted they couldn’t quite figure out what the longtime couple were dressed as.

“This took me a bit 😂 I was like football and Jesus?” wrote one follower, while another said: “This is AMAZING!”

A separate social media user pointed out another sneaky parallel in the pair’s costume choice, writing, “The American Pie reference in this song…”

(Swift, 34, sings about the iconic coming-of-age movie in the chorus of the song: “I’m watching American Pie with you on a Saturday night / Your friends are around, so be quiet.” Hannigan famously starred in the original 1999 film and other installments in the franchise.)

Though Swift is not performing on her Eras Tour on Halloween, the 14-time Grammy winner is set to perform three shows at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, starting Friday, November 1 through November 3. She will then have a nearly two-week break before kicking off the international dates of the final leg of her tour in Toronto, with her last show wrapping up in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8.

Multiple sources exclusively told Us Weekly in September that once Swift’s tour is finished, she’s ready to step into the next chapter with Kelce, 35, whom she started dating in the summer of 2023.

“Taylor and Travis are very committed and serious about their future,” an insider told Us. “Taylor is ready for the next era of her life. She knows it will be special.”

A second source added, “They’ve built a lot of trust. They both knew what they signed up for and navigated it well. They’re in love and don’t care what others think.”

Meanwhile, Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs will continue their bid for their third consecutive Super Bowl championship when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, November 4. The Chiefs are currently undefeated, boasting an impressive seven-game win streak in the 2024-2025 season.
