The opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour was full of surprises, and fans are hoping for plenty more where that came from.

The 20th anniversary tour kicked off on August 10, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas made their love for their home state known by bringing out multiple surprise guests throughout the night, starting with the band Switchfoot, which the Jonas Brothers credited as one of their earliest inspirations.

Later in the night, the brothers welcomed Jesse McCartney, followed by Dean Lewis.

However, the biggest surprise of the night was one of their former Disney Channel costars: Demi Lovato. She joined the Jonas Brothers onstage for a Camp Rock reunion, performing a medley of songs from the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie and its 2010 sequel.

The surprises continued on the second night of the tour at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, on August 12, as Kevin, Nick and Joe brought out All Time Low to perform.

In an interview with People ahead of the tour, Joe teased that this tour would be “different” than any other tour they’ve done in the past.

“I think what fans can expect is that we are going to do what we can to give them the best show they can possibly enjoy every night. Really have a fun time on the road, enjoy the fact that we get to do this after all these years and just try to bring something different,” he said.

Below, Us Weekly breaks down all the surprise guests who have appeared on the tour:

Switchfoot

Switchfoot appeared on stage at MetLife to perform “Meant to Live” off their 2003 album, The Beautiful Letdown. Additionally, the band stuck around to jam out with Kevin, Joe and Nick on “Hold On,” which the Jonas Brothers said was inspired by Switchfoot.

Jesse McCartney

McCartney, who helped get the Jonas Brothers’ career started by letting them tour with him nearly 20 years ago, stopped by MetLife to perform “Beautiful Soul.” He returned on the August 23 show at Boston’s Fenway Park to perform a medley of “Leavin’” and “Beautiful Soul.”

Dean Lewis

Lewis, who is featured on the Jonas Brothers’ latest album, Greetings From Your Hometown, performed their ballad “Loved You Better” with the band at MetLife.

Demi Lovato

Toward the end of the night, Joe sang “Gotta Find You” from Camp Rock, in which he played pop star Shane Gray. Of course, that song isn’t truly complete without Lovato, who played Shane’s love interest, Mitchie Torres, singing the medley version that includes “This Is Me,” so they brought her out in a huge surprise that left all of MetLife in awe. In addition to the medley, Lovato and Joe also performed “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” from Camp Rock: The Final Jam.

The Jonas Family

Opening night concluded with the Jonas Brothers bringing their immediate family, including mom Denise Jonas, dad Kevin Jonas Sr. and brother Franklin Jonas, out to sing “When You Look Me in the Eyes.” Kevin’s wife, Danielle Jonas, and their daughters, Valentina and Alena, also joined later in the song. It was so beautiful that guitarist JinJoo Lee repeatedly had to wipe away tears as she played her instrument, as seen in fan videos shared via TikTok.

All Time Low

During their show at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia, the Jonas Brothers brought out All Time Low to perform their hit song “Dear Maria, Count Me In.”

The Click Five

During the Jonas Brothers’ tour stop at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, on August 14, 2025, the trio brought out a band they opened for 20 years ago — The Click Five, currently comprised of members Kyle Patrick, Joe Guese and Ethan Mentzer. Together, the two groups performed The Click Five’s 2005 hit “Just the Girl,” sending a wave of nostalgia through the audience.

Hanson

The iconic boy band — created by brothers Zac, Taylor and Isaac Hanson — joined Kevin, Joe and Nick during their tour stop in Virginia Beach on August 15, 2025 for a rendition of “MMMBop.”

“A Beautiful night with @jonasbrothers @kevinjonas @nickjonas @joejonas (Happy Birthday Joe). Not a bad way to spend 24hrs,” Taylor wrote via Instagram.

Cartel

After a stormy start to the evening that included a rain delay, the audience at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, was treated to not one, but two special guests on August 17, 2025. First, the Jonas Brothers brought out Cartel to perform their song “Say Anything (Else).”

Hoobastank

The second guest at Hersheypark Stadium was Hoobastank, who performed their nostalgic 2003 hit “The Reason.”

JP Saxe

During the Jonas Brothers’ tour stop at Rogers Center in Toronto, Canada, on August 21, 2025, Nick announced that they wanted to bring out “one of the most respected songwriters in the industry” and a Toronto native — JP Saxe. After performing his song “If the World Was Ending,” Saxe accompanied the Jonas Brothers on a surprise performance of their Camp Rock hit “Gotta Find You.”

Alessia Cara

The Toronto tour stop also included a surprise appearance from Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, who sang “Scars to Your Beautiful.”

“I will say, as a father to two growing young women, when there is music in this world that does not tear you down, that makes you feel special, that makes you feel beautiful, shows you who you can be?” Kevin told the audience before introducing Cara, per a video shared by iHeartRadio Canada. “I will always be here for that moment and those artists and those songs. And the minute my daughter heard this song for the first time, she goes, ‘I love this,’ and in my heart, I knew she felt heard and seen and beautiful.”

Glen Powell

The Anyone But You actor was spotted among the fans at the jam-packed Fenway Park in Boston for the Jonas Brothers’ August 23 concert.

Dashboard Confessional

The indie rock icons joined the Jonas Brothers on stage at Boston’s Fenway Park to perform their tracks “Vindicated” and “Take a Breath” on August 23.

JoJo

Fellow ’00s pop icon Jojo belted out her breakthrough hit “Leave (Get Out)” and joined the boys for “Vacation Eyes” on August 23 at Fenway Park.
